History of Successful Invasions of England

The Celts were conquered in 43 AD by:

The Romans, who left England in 410 AD.

From 410-450 the Anglo-Saxons arrived & took over. From ~821 to 1014 the Danes (Vikings) raided and invaded.

In 1066 William of Normandy took over England, and it was never successfully conquered by an outside source after that.
