IN 1946, AVEDON HAD SET UP HIS OWN STUDIO AND BEGAN PROVIDING IMAGES FOR MAGAZINES INCLUDING VOGUE AND LIFE. IMPACT
Richard Avedon is thought to be one of the most influential photographers of the 20th
Century. Not only has he taken definitive portraits of the cultural
and political leaders of the last fifty years, his work focuses on subjects such as fashion, the
Civil Rights movement, and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
