Problems dealing with jellies:
• huge variety of species and shapes
• non-rigid shape
• almost transparent body
• difficult lighting conditions
It is very difficult to identify the features that discriminate the jellies from other subjects
Automatic recognition algorithms
• Supervised statistical learning (Viola & Jones)no a priori knowledge about shapes is needed
• Block Detection & Shape Analysis)shape detected and recognised by pre-defined rules
