Aviation Weather Maps WiFi Configurator 9000 Guide

Getting StartedThe WiFi Configurator 9000 will allow you to setup your map's WiFi settings prior to receiving your Aviation Weather Map. At the end of this process, you will either be assured that your map will arrive and be plug-and-play ready, or you will receive a full refund.

Please follow these steps to setup and verify connectivity.

1. Unbox the WiFi Configurator 9000 and marvel at its simplicity.

2. Plug the USB WiFi adapter into the left micro-USB port.

3. Plug the USB power supply connector into the right micro-USB port. Attach the other end into the charger and the charger into an outlet.

4. Click the button on the USB power cord to turn on power. Be patient. Powering on may take 60 seconds or longer. During the powering up process, you will see no indication of activity.

5. After the device has powered up, you should see a red light.

This indicates that the WiFi Configurator 9000 has yet to establish a connection with your WiFi, but is about to do so.

6. If you had arranged to have your WiFi pre-configured, the red light should quickly switch green.

Once you see the green light, you will know everything is working successfully. Close this guide, put the WiFi Configurator 9000 back in its return packaging and put it in the mail.



7. If the light remains red: use a laptop, phone, or tablet, search for the WiFi network with the name “metarmap”.



8. Connect to the “metarmap” network using “metarmap” as the password.

NOTE: On some devices, you might receive a warning that there is no internet connection, as pictured above.



9. Confirm the warning (if it exists) and continue making the connection.



10. Open a web browser and navigate to http://10.3.141.1 You will be prompted for a username and password. Again, use “metarmap” for both.

11. Once successfully authenticated, you will be greeted with the main page.



12. Select 'Configure WiFi Client' from the menu.



13. Find your network, enter your password in the text box, and press the “Add” button.

After pressing add, it's quite likely that the web page will display an error. This is normal.

14. Power cycle your WiFi Configurator 9000 by clicking the button on the USB power cord. Wait a few seconds, then click it again. After 60 seconds, it should be powered on and connected to your network. You should now see a green light. Congratulations! Your Aviation Weather Map will be operational with your WiFi.

Please place the WiFi Configurator 9000 into its return packaging and place it in the mail as soon as possible.
