• Paints: 31, 19, 25,69, 98, 27, 47, 62, 68, 67

• The template provided is sized for a salad

plate. To use this design on a dinner plate, extend the outlines to fill in the

space, or enlarge the template by 125%.

•Use writer bottles to make small dots,

and use the back of a brush technique to make larger dots. Dip the back of a brush into underglaze and touch the plate with

it to make a color dot.

MATERIALS TIPS


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Wipe the bisque with a damp sponge to remove ceramic dust.

2. Apply two coats of Black # 31 to the entire plate using a Fan brush. Let dry.

3. Transfer the pattern onto the plate using the template image, tracing paper, and a pen.

4. Refer to the numbers on the pattern for color placement. Use writer bottles filled with colors 19, 25, 69, 98, 67, 62, 27, 47, 68 to make smaller dots as shown in the sample photo.

5. Use the same colors to make larger dots with the back tip of a small round brush handle. Dip the tip of brush handle into a color and touch the plate with it to make a dot.
