ABSTRACT:

The present paper relates to

motorcycles and more particularly

to an improved stand for

motorcycle for moving the stand to

its raised position when the

motorcycle is in its running position.

Key terms- Automatic, Avoid

accidents

I. INTRODUCTION:

Two wheelers are most prone

to accidents due to their fragile

nature.one of the issues of motor

bike accidents is that people

forgetting to slide their side stands

backing place on starting the bike.

Here we propose an automatic side

stand slider system that will

automatically slide the in position. In

this system we make a

demonstration model with a starter

for bike and a frame is used to mount

bike up right using frame. The starter

consists of a microcontroller circuit

used to monitor this starter and then

operate the stand sliding

mechanism. The stand consists of a

motorized system used to operate

the stand. The circuit monitors the

starter, on starting the bike the side

stand is operated by the motor using

a shaft to slide from vertical position

to a horizontal position. On turning

of the key in other direction to lock

bike the system moves the

motorized stand shafts in opposite

direction so as to move the stand in

a direction perpendicular to the

bottom frame rod which rests the

motor bike on side stand thus we

have a fully automated side stand

system for motor bikes.

II. LITERATURE REVIEW: Vishal Srivastava, Tejaswi gupta, Sourabh Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Javeed Rafiq, Satish Kumar, has worked on automatic side stand. If the rider may have forgot to retract the side stand before riding, then undistracted stand hitting the ground and effected the rider control during the turn and this will have caused to unwanted troubles.

In this paper the presented mechanism consists of D.C. motor powered by motor cycle battery which is connected o the worm and worm gear mechanism for reduction of speed of motor and multiplying the torque then the motor is activated by micro controller circuit. We observe that from the design and analysis D.C. motor and other components like micro controller circuit, switch is occupying less space and this space is easily available into the mechanical frame of the motorcycle. After analysis of torque the required torque to rise the side stand is 6070 Nm and the power required to stand which is 19.078 W. Pintoo pragapathi, Vipul kr. Srivastava, Rahul kr yadav, rama pukar, Mr. Sandeep has worked on sprocket side stand retrieve system it is based on the working principle of two wheelers. In motor bike power is transmitted from engines pinion to rear wheel, the linear motion of the chain is obsorbed b rear wheels spocket and converted into rotary motion. That rotary motion of the rear wheel makes the bie to move.

This system could be used in all type

of two wheelers for retrieving side

stand and to control accident due to

side stand problem and protected the

careless rider.

B. Muralitharan, p. ranjith has

worked on automatic side stand

retrieve

system, this system is based on

working principle of two-wheeler.

The power is generated in the engines

and it transmit power to the pinion

and it to rotate the pinion transmits

power to the rear wheels Pinion and

makes vehicle to move, the

objectives of the system is to provide

a device responsive to an operating

condition of the engines of the motor

cycle for moving the stand to its

raised position when motor cycle is in

its running position.

III. COMPONENTS: MICRO CONTROLLER CIRCUIT:

A microcontroller (MCU for microcontroller unit) is a small computer on a single integrated circuit. In modern terminology, it is similar to, but less sophisticated than, a system on a chip(SoC); an SoC may include a microcontroller as one of its components. A microcontroller contains one or more CPUs (processor cores) along with memory and programmable input/output peripherals. Program memory in the form of ferroelectric RAM, NOR flash or OTP ROM is also often included on chip, as well as a small amount of RAM. There are several types of both PIC and AVR microcontrollers. What sets them apart is the amount of memory, the number of IO pins and the types of peripherals they have. Peripherals are function like Pulse-Width Modulation, Analog-to-Digital conversion, Serial Peripheral Interface, I2C, etc. A microcontroller always has a datasheet where it’s functionality is described. In the datasheet, you will almost always find a

reference schematic design for the microcontroller.

STARTER: A Starter, in other words it

is also known as ignition switch. A switch in the control system of a motor vehicle that activates the main electrical systems for the vehicle, including accessories in vehicle powered by internal combustion engines, the switch provides power to starter ignition system components and is frequently combined with the starter switch which activates the starter motor. Ignition switches were key switches that required the proper key to be inserted in order for the switch functions to be unlocked. These mechanical switches remain ubiquitous in

modern vehicles, further combined with an immobilizer to only activate the functions. D.C. MOTOR:

Motor in any electric motor, operation is based on simple electro magnetism a current carrying conductor generates a magnetic field when this is then placed in an external magnetic field, it will experience a force proportional to the current in the conductor, and to the strength of the external magnetic field.

As you are well aware of from playing with magnets as a kid, opposite polarities attract, while like polarities repel. The internal configuration of D.C.M OTOR is designed to harness the magnetic interaction between a current carrying conductor and an external magnetic field to generate rotational motion. The specification of motor is 12v,4.5 amps with 100 rpm.

SIDE

STAND: A Side stand is a device

on a bicycle or motor cycle that allows the bike to kept upright without leaning against another object or the aid of a person withstand is usually piece of metal that flips down from the frame and makes contact with ground. It is generally locked on the middle of the bike or towards the rear.

A side stand is a single leg that simply flips out to one side, usually the non-drive side, and the bike then leans against it side stands can be mounted to the chain stays right behind the bottom bracket can be bolted on, either clamping the chain stays or to the bracket between them are welded into place as an integral part of frame.

IV. WORKING PRINCIPLE: The stand consists of a

motorized system used to operate the stand. The circuit monitors the starter, on starting the bike the side stand is operated by the motor using a shaft to slide from vertical position to a horizontal position. On turning of the key in other direction to lock bike the system moves the motorized stand shaft in opposite direction so as to move the stand in a direction perpendicular to the bottom frame rod which rests the motor bike on side stand thus we have a fully automated side stand system for motor bikes.

This starter consists of a microcontroller circuit used to monitor the starter and then operate the stand sliding mechanism. The stand consists of a motorized system used to

WORKING MODEL:

V. CONCLUSION: Running a bike with side

stand in its uplift may create problems, but with the help of our accessories we solve this problem. The objectives of this project is to provide a rigid and safety mechanism without changing in any standard design of bike. Moreover, it should be economical for every class of society. From above report, it fulfils consumer needs

and provides versatility moreover, as it is new product it will promote employment for new engineering in day period.
