Schönbrunn Palace is a former imperial summer residence located in Vienna. The 1441 room Baroque palace is one of the most monuments in Austria. It is also where the wonder child Mozart performed before the Empress Maria Theresia.

Located at the south of Vienna, is the largest and most beautiful underground lake in Europe. It was also where Hitler build his warplane secretly in the World War II.

Eisenstadt, a city south of Vienna in Austria, is the state capital of the Burgenland region, with a population of about 14,216. In the Habsburg Empire’s Kingdom of Hungary, Eisenstadt was the seat of the Eszterházy Hungarian noble family. The composer Joseph Haydn lived there as Hofkapellmeister under Eszterházy’s patronage.

Esterházy Palace is the capital of the Burgenland state. The palace was constructed in the late 13th century, and came under ownership of the Hungarian Esterházy family in 1622. Under Paul I, 1st Prince Esterházy of Galántha, the estate was converted into a baroque castle which remained the center of administration of the family for over 300 years.

Hellbrunn llbrunn is an early Baroque villa of palatial size, near Morzg, a southern district of the city of Salzburg, Austria. It was built in 1613–19 by Markus Sittikus von Hohenems, Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, and named for the "clear spring" that supplied it.

The birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at No. 9 Getreidegasse in Salzburga. The Mozart family resided on the third floor from 1747 to 1773; Mozart was born here on 27 January 1756, the seventh child of Leopold Mozart who was a musician of the Salzburg Royal Chamber.

Sits atop the Festungsberg, a small hill in the city of Salzburg. Erected at the behest of the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg with a length of 250 m (820 ft) and a width of 150m(490 ft), it is one of the largest medieval castles in Europe. It is situated at an altitude of 506 m.

A village by the Wolfgangsee in the Austrian state of Salzburg, in the "Salzkammergut" region. It is also where “The Sound of Music“was filmed. It is where composers such as Schubert and Mahler drew inspiration and composed their music.

Hősök tere, Heroes' Square is one of the major squares in Budapest, noted for its iconic statue complex featuring the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The square lies at the outbound end of Andrássy Avenue next to City Park.

St. Stephen's Basilica is a Roman Catholic basilica in Budapest, Hungary. It is named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), whose supposed right hand is housed in the reliquary. It was the sixth largest church building in Hungary before 1920. Since the renaming of the primatial see, it's the co-cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest. Today, it is the third largest church building in present-day Hungary.

The Halászbástya, Fisherman's Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest.

In 1974, Mak was the first violinist at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He left for Vienna, graduating from the “Konservatorium fuer Musik der Stadt Wien” in 1980. He was student of Sir Charles Mackerras. Mak won the second prize from the “International Conducting Competition of 20th Century Music” in Austria in 1987. He made his debut at the “Hong Kong Arts Festival” conducting the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in 1991. In 1992, Mak signed a contract with the BMG record company conducting the Beijing Central Philharmonic Orchestra. He cooperated with Hugo Production Company in 1993 and made recordings with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra in Moscow. In 1995, he made his debut as the conductor of the “Moscow Autumn Music Festival” in Moscow. He was appointed as the conductor of the Voronezh Philharmonic Orchestra in Russia in 1996. In 1999, he brought the Russian Orchestra to Hong Kong and gave concerts with the legendary pop star from Hong Kong, Mr. Roman Tam. Mak received a “Cultural Achievement Award” from the Russian Parliament in 2000. He conducted the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in 2002. He made his debut in the “Avellino Music Festival” in Italy in 2007. He was invited by the Vienna City Government to conduct in the “World Peace Day” in Vienna in 2011. In the same year, Mak returned to Hong Kong with an aim to build an orchestra of the best local musicians from Hong Kong, the Global Symphony Orchestra. In 2012, He guest conducted the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, he guest conducted the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2017 He conducted the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague. In 2018, he guest conducted the Croatia Chamber Orchestra in Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria. Mak Ka Lok has been awarded the prestigious “Austrian Music and Theatre Prize” For his contribution in Austria and China/Hong Kong. The prizegiving ceremony will be held at Graz in June 2018.

Maestro Mak Ka Lok

Mak Ka-lok is an internationally well-known Hong Kong born conductor and composer. He spend more than 20 years in Austria and 10 years in Russia, conducting leading Symphony Orchestras in Russia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Italy, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and recorded about a hundred CDs.
