Bids will be received in the Bidder's Room at the Delaware Department of Transportation's AdministrationBuilding, 800 Bay Road, Dover, Delaware until 2:00 P.M. local time August 15 22, 2017
This work consists of furnishing and installing 400 watt high pressure sodium fixtures in accordancewith these specifications and as shown on the Plans.
Materials:
The complete luminaire shall be a 400 watt high pressure sodium type powered from a nominal 480volt, 60 Hertz source. The luminaire shall have a heavy-duty die-cast aluminum housing with an electrocoatepoxidized acrylic gray finish and a hinged and removal front access door assembly with borosilicate glasslens. The luminaire shall be provided with a knuckle slipfitter mounting and photocell control. The ballastshall be a tray-mount auto-regulating type, capable of starting and operating the lamp down to temperaturesof -20EF (-29EC). The optical assembly shall be sealed with a front access door perimeter gasket andactivated charcoal filter. The luminaire shall be a General Electric M4AR40S0A2GMN31 or CooperOVM40SCW3E4T or approved equal.
Method of Measurement:
The quantity of 400 watt luminaires will be measured as the actual number of luminaires completein place and accepted.
Basis of Payment:
The quantity of 400 watt luminaires will be paid for at the Contract unit price per each. Price andpayment will constitute full compensation for furnishing all materials, and for all labor, tools, equipment, andincidentals necessary to complete the item installation.

746594 - LUMINAIRE (HPS) 250 WATT
Description:
This work consists of furnishing and installing Type A and Type B 250 watt high pressure sodiumfixtures on poles, in accordance with these specifications and as shown on the Plans.
Materials:
The complete Type A or Type B luminaire shall be a 250 watt high pressure sodium type poweredfrom a nominal 240 or 277 volt, 60 hertz source. The luminaire shall have a heavy-duty die-cast aluminumhousing with an electrocoat gray finish and a hinged and removable door assembly with a heat/impactresistant glass prismatic lens. The luminaire shall be provided with internal two-inch slipfitter mounting andphotocell control. The ballast shall be a multi-tap (120/208/240/277 volt) auto-regulating type, capable ofstarting and operating the lamp down to temperatures of 78EF (28EC). The optical assembly shall be sealedwith a perimeter gasket and activated charcoal filter.
The Type A fixture shall have medium, semi-cutoff NEMA Type 3 distribution and shall be GeneralElectric Catalog Number M4AR-25-S-0-M-2-G-MS3-2, Lithonia Lighting CHLD-250S-R3-DLG-TB-MRB-PEU-CF or approved equal.
The Type B fixture shall have medium, non-cutoff NEMA Type 4 distribution and shall be GeneralElectric Catalog Number M4AR-25-S-0-M-2-G-MN4-2-F or Holophane Vector Model No.HL2A250HPMTKGR-PR approved equal.
Method of Measurement:
The quantity of 250 watt (HPS) luminaires will be measured as the actual number of luminairesprovided complete in place and accepted.

850502 - LUMINAIRE (LED), 150 WATT
Description:
This work consists of furnishing and installing an LED light fixture on poles, in accordance withthese specifications and as shown on the Plans.
Materials:
The complete fixture shall have a heavy-duty, cast-aluminum housing, door with extruded aluminumheat sink, tool-less entry, hinged removable power tray door for easy maintenance, and have fasteninghardware that is stainless steel or zinc plated steel. The fixture shall meet ANSI 136.31 3.0 G vibrationrequirements. Fixture shall have a two-bolt slip fitter system for mounting on a 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch mountingarm connection. A grey powder coat finish, or as approved by the engineer, shall be applied to the fixture.
The fixture shall also meet the following criteria:

The point values given in the table are based on a 30 foot mounting height with a Light LossFactor of 1. The point values produced by the submitted fixture shall be included with the fixture submittal.

Factory applied labels shall comply with UL 1598. Labels shall be located where they will be readily visibleto service personnel, but not seen from normal viewing angles when lamps are in place. Labels shall includethe following lamp characteristics:
1. CCT and CRI for all luminaires
Luminaire finish shall be manufacturers standard paint applied to factory-assembled and tested luminairebefore shipping.
The following installation requirements shall be followed:
1. Comply with NECA 1.2. Fasten luminaire to pole.3. Install luminaires at height indicated on drawings and level and square with finished grade.4. Perform an illumination test.
After installation of luminaires and control devices and after electrical circuitry has been energized, test unitsto confirm proper operation.
Inspect each installed luminaire for damage. Replace damaged luminaires and components.
Luminaires will be considered defective if they do not pass tests and inspections.
Contractor shall provide fixture cutsheets, details, and the IESNA LM-79 and LM-80 test reports to theengineer for shop drawing review before purchasing. Provide documentation that demonstrates that theproposed model of LED luminaire has been tested for electromagnetic compliance following the measurementprotocols specified in ANSI standard C63.4-2003, and required by 47 CFR 15.31.
If Contract Documents require a photocell on the cabinet for the entire lighting system, omit the photocellon the individual luminaries. Provide Photoelectric Control with solid state, cadmium sulfide type withhermetically sealed silicone rectifier rated 120volt, 60 cycle AC and 1000 watts maximum load. Ensure abuilt-in surge protection and fail-safe operating feature is included, so the lighting circuits remain energizedin the event the photo control components become inoperative. Ensure the nominal operating levels turn onphoto control at a minimum vertical illumination value of 3 footcandles and turn off at a maximum verticalillumination value of 6 footcandles. Ensure the photo control is twist lock type, with suitable mountingbracket with locking type receptacle.
All electrical Materials shall conform to the requirements of the National Electrical Code of the National FireProtection Association, and to all local and state laws and/ordinances governing such installations.
Warranty:
Luminaire to be free from defects and operate as indicated for a period of 5 years from the date ofdelivery.
Method of Measurement:
The quantity of LED Light Fixtures will be measured as the actual number of luminaires providedcomplete in place and accepted.
Basis of Payment:
The quantity of LED Light Fixtures will be paid for at the Contract unit price per each. Price andpayment will constitute full compensation for furnishing all materials, and for all labor, tools, equipment, andincidentals necessary to complete the item installation.
