Media pack for mixmagThe median age of a mix mag reader is 24 with 72% male and 28% female. They are

usually urban and single. They have a high disposable income and a high propensity to spend it on nights out, clothes, tunes and the latest mobiles and mp3 players. They are the ones that make the cool products cool within their peer group. They are first to recommend a song and first on a new fashion trend. The demographic spans from bedroom dj’s to accomplished producers. They are the biggest music downloader's in the UK. Nearly 80% don’t read any other magazine and watch very little television.

This means I will design the magazine to suit a reader of around 24 and a mainly male audience. I will include items that suit a person with a high disposable income and desire to spend money on clothes, nights out, music and the latest phones and mp3 players. I will include a vary of articles to suit the whole audience.

This means that I will design the magazine to appeal to a audience of around 16-24 year olds and mainly males as 73.8% of the readers are male. Most of the readers are earning £18k to £24k a year so I will advertise relevant products to this income range. Also most readers are in London so I could advertise more events in London than anywhere else.
