I Abstract

This report presents the results of a detailed analysis of the William B.

Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. The analysis was conducted by the

Atlanta Airport Improvement Working Group which had representatives from

the City of Atlanta, the Air Transport Association, the airlines serving

Atlanta, and the Federal Aviation Administration. The purpose of the analyis

was to determine the causes of delay and the potential delay reduction

benefits of recoimended improvements. The effort was part of the

Airport Improvement Program.
