Ligonier Township Supervisors Regular Meeting August 23, 2017 The Ligonier Township Supervisors met in regular session at 4:02 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance opening the meeting. Secretary/Treasurer, Bruce Robinson took roll call. Present were Chairman, Wade Thomas; Vice Chairman, Paul Knupp; Secretary/Treasurer, Bruce Robinson; Gary Thistlethwaite; and D. Scott Matson. Public Comment – None A motion was made by Paul Knupp and seconded by Gary Thistlethwaite to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2017 meeting. Motion carried New Business A motion was made by Paul Knupp and seconded by Wade Thomas to accept Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer, Richard Bell’s separation in agreement in principal with a five (5) week severance. Motion carried. A motion was made by Paul Knupp and seconded by Bruce Robinson to accept Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer, Richard Bell’s resignation from the Ligonier Township Municipal Authority Board. Motion carried. A motion was made by Paul Knupp and seconded by Scott Matson to approve ADM Welding Contract with a $45,000 bond for Clifford Woods Road Bridge. Motion carried. Supervisor Gary Thistlethwaite – Police, Good work especially in Waterford. Paul Knupp – Caller ID, Soliciting-spoofing/scrambling numbers, so not from the person on your caller ID. Chief Matrunics stated that the police phone number was affected by this. Staff Report Manager’s Report – Terry Carcella reported there was invitation correspondence from Westmoreland Conservation District for the Board of Supervisors to let Terry know, so he can mail the reply. Terry reported that Sheetz is requesting approval from the Township to have a liquor license awarded to them. The Board needs to approve or deny within 45 days with a resolution or ordinance and a Public Hearing is needed, so Terry is requesting that the Public Hearing be held on September 12, 2017 at 7:30 PM at the Ligonier Township Complex building. A motion was made by Paul Knupp and seconded by Gary Thistlethwaite to approve to hold the Public Hearing on September 12, 2017 at 7:30 PM at the Ligonier Township Complex building. Motion carried with a roll call vote 4-1, Bruce Robinson opposed due to them not having sewage.
