Proyecto Ariadne
The main purpose of the information system is to foster the knowledge about historical heritage to support protection.
The objectives:- To create a documentation project- To organize, standardize and qualify information- Information analysis for further decision making- Dissemination of information through different products and services
ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION
A STANDARDIZED DOCUMENTARY LANGUAGE
The development of the information system needs to incorporate a common documentary language which enhances the integration of different types of data as well as the easy retrieval of this data.
It is a controlled vocabulary structured with equivalence, hierarchical and associative relations.
It is necessary to overcome the limitations of traditional inventories and move towards a unique model which should be flexible and open enough to allow the addition of information of all heritage typologies.
DEVELOPMENT OF A UNIQUE MODEL
MANAGEMENT - INFORMATION
MOSAICO is an information system that integrates
all the activities needed for management and
information of Cultural Heritage.
It brings together in a single application the work
developed in the regional Counsil of Cultural
Policies by different institutions, including the
Andalusia Institute of Cultural Heritage and the
Culture Delegations around the region.
