My name is Rocky Trifari and I am currently a junior in the Networking, Information Technology, and Communications Academy at the Morris County School of Technology in Denville. I am both honored and excited to be the Lieutenant Governor of Division 20 for the 2012-2013 service year. I have always been extremely passionate about Key Club, and I promise to carry my commitment and love for this organization into the next twelve months of service. In addition to Key Club, I am an active member in numerous other clubs and organizations including the Students for Environmental Awareness, Student Government, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Photography Club. During my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading, drawing, going on the computer, practicing my Chinese, and being with my family and friends.  This year, over 600 dedicated Key Clubbers gathered together at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey, from March 30th to April 1st to celebrate a year of hard work and to prepare for another. District Convention (abbreviated as DCON) was a weekend filled with fun and informative workshops, as well as hilarious guest speakers. The event unified the attendees under the theme “walking the boardwalk of service.” District Executive Board candidates campaigned vigorously while sharing their ideas through caucuses and speeches. The inspiring atmosphere continued into the Saturday morning workshops. Key Clubbers enjoyed presentations on Graphic Standards, Public Relations, and Time Management. Although the Lieutenant Governors handled most of

the workshops and presentations, Key Clubbers had their own opportunity to share the spotlight by being apart of the Talent Show or competing in contests. Key Clubbers were able to dance the night away at the two dances: the Neon Dance on Friday night and the Governor’s Ball on Saturday night. The New Jersey District Board members were raffled off for a slow dance on Saturday night, all proceeds going towards the ELIMINATE project. On Sunday morning, the District Board that Key Clubbers have come to know and love throughout the past year stepped down and a new Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, and 23 Lieutenant Governors were installed into their positions. The weekend was filled with laughter, tears, and an incredible love for Key Club.

A President’s Council Meeting is a meeting of club presidents in the division, organized by their Lieutenant Governor, in which they share their club progress, as well as discuss district and divisional information. All Presidents are required to attend every PCM. The first PCM date is coming up soon!

A Club Monthly Repot Form must be submitted by each club secretary by the 10th of every month. These forms let the district see how the club is doing in terms of activities and progress.

An Officer’s Training Conference is a meeting that takes place during the beginning of the service year so all club officers can be properly trained. At the meeting, club officers will receive valuable training manuals and be personally trained by me. EACH CLUB OFFICER MUST ATTEND AT LEAST ONE OTC.

The Regional Training Conference is where Key Clubbers from a certain region in the state get together for a day of fun and informative workshops, as well as training, and getting to know and make new friends. There are a total of 2 RTC’s: one in the Spring, and one in the Fall. ALL CLUB OFFICERS MUST ATTEND ONE.
