Tiruchirappalli - known as Rock Fort city, with rich

cultural heritage and home to many reputed

educational Institutions. The Institution is established

with a view to impart quality student centered

technical education, so as to produce proven

technocrats and to strive hard for continuous

development and improvement in learning, research

and developmental activities. Teaching, Research

and Extension services are carried through the

Departments and Centers of the Institution. The

Institution also works towards fostering partnerships

with Academic and Industrial experts to provide

About the Conference

This International Conference focus on

geotechnical aspects in the disposal of waste

m a t e r i a l s a n d t h e r e m e d i a t i o n o f

environmentally contaminated sites. Disposal of

waste generated by people and industrial

processes is an important issue in our society. If

this waste is not managed in a safe and reliable

manner, then human health and the

environment are at risk. Waste containment

facilities like landfills are one of the most

commonly used means for waste disposal.The

main objective of this International Conference

is creating forum to researchers, academicians,

practicing professionals share their ideas in

Environmental Geotechnics.

Civil Engineering, M.E. (Environmental Engg) and

M.E. (Structural Engg). The Department has

dedicated and qualified faculty besides well

equipped laboratories. There are 23 Ph.D. students

registered for their research programme under part-

time mode. The department has provided various

consultancy services in Environmental Engg.,

construction, water resources, highway and other

related projects.
