3. A relationship between the lyrics and the visuals, with the visuals illustrating, amplifying or contradicting the lyrics.
When researching myself obout Andrew Goodwin I came across the Beyonc video for Single Ladies which has a clear relationship between the lyrics and visuals for example; If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it whilst having Beyonc swiveling her hand
In our music video we have made a relationship between the lyrics and what is happening on screen.
4. A relationship between the music and the visuals, with the visuals illustrating, amplifying or contradicting the music.
This means if it is a fast paced song then there is a fast paced beat to the editing just like in the Little Comets song One Night In October at the start and just like at the start of that song they use fast editing and camera movements we are too.
5. Genre-related style and iconography present.
This is the simple one, as our band already dress in the same style as the genre of song and even a little bit like the style of the Little comets this wont be hard to get the style in the video. We have already analyzed what the band will wear and if you click on the person below you shall be taken to a blog post about them
6. Multiple close-ups of the main artist or vocalist.
This is incredibly common in most music videos from all genres and something we have put thought into and will include
Below are some examples of close ups in music video:
7. Voyeurism often plays a major part, especially in relation to females.
This is where we are going away from the conventions, unlike in most music videos featuring females either as a solo artist or in a group we aren't focusing on our female and would rather have her treated like one of the other band members .
8. Intertextual references to other media texts may be present.
Again we are straying from conventions here as we want to keep the feel of the production low key we have tried not to include intertextual references which are now common In big budget pop songs with the biggest being branding with labels having bands wear their clothes
