Psalm — The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want (Psalm 23). Second Reading — Once we were like straying sheep; but now we have been returned to the shepherd, our guardian (1 Peter 2:20b-25). Gospel — The shepherd leads the sheep out into pastures of abundant life (John 10:1-10).

AT OLVSTA
...And what a week it was! OLV was filled to capacity and then some for all of its services during Holy Week. Many commented at how they thought the “crowds” were much larger this year than last. Much planning and hard work took place to make it all happen in such a way that people left our parish with their “minds and hearts lifted up to God.” Thanks to my fellow Clergy for all their assistance in-cluding our priests in residence, in making our liturgies ones that inspired as well as made so many glad that they spent Holy Week with us for all or part. Special Thanks to Fr. Sovis for fine job he did as Mas-ter of Ceremonies at all our liturgies. Thanks to Carlos, Edith, Janel, Marcial, Nancy & Patricia and our volunteers for all their hard work not only during Holy Week but throughout the year. Thanks to Don Barnum & Mick Tucci, our Organists and Choirmasters for all their hard work which paid off with truly beautiful liturgies which helped our parish really “lift up our minds & hearts to God” during Holy Week. Thanks to Ellen Wright who play & sings at our 1:15 daily Mass. Thanks to our Canoni Chorale & our Schola Cantorum Choirs for inspired singing during Holy Week that gave glory to God and left many wanting more. BTW....our well-attended Holy Season concert was universally praised by those in attendance...including the clergy! Thanks to our lectors, servers, and ushers who assisted in making our liturgies exceptional. Again, Thanks to Carlos, who because of his dedication to our parish, made everything run so smoothly while at the same time keeping our church operative and clean. Many parishioners/friends and visitors commented on how beautiful our Church was for the Holy Week & Easter. Thank you Fr. Sovis, Frs. Cortezano & Kofi & Carlos for decorating the Church & especially the Sanctuary so beautifully at OLV & Marcial, Edith and Nancy for doing likewise at Saint Andrew. Finally, thanks to all of you for belonging to OLVSTA. Your presence is keenly felt and your generosity is very much appreciated. With every good wish for you and yours as we continue our journey of faith this holy season. ~Fr. Myles P. Murphy Pastor
