Our program offers a variety of activities to choose from. Along with those activities, our well-equipped staff teach educational lessons that focus on forestry, hydrology, wildlife ecology and astronomy.

Excited, hopeful, and yes a little scared describes what I am feeling lately. In the midst of the transition, I have been looking for jobs and sending out networking emails. I am looking for a position where I can be part of a team and/or lead a team while also working independently to organize, coordinate, manage, and carry out projects,events, and/or marketing initiatives. It’s an overwhelming process, but I know the Lord will provide, and my heart is clinging to and resting in all the Lord has showed me. He is faithful and I am confident that the theme of “More Than I Could Imagine” will continue in the next season of my life.

This phrase perfectly sums up my years and experiences at Redcloud. An overwhelming sense of gratitude comes over me as look back and remember all the memories and the see how the Lord’s purposes and plans have unfolded over the years. You have been part of this story, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you for faithfully supporting me, praying for me, and believing in me and what God was doing at Redcloud.

a position similar as office manager. However, I stepped out into the great unknown and did not accept

the position, as I know the Lord has been calling me to something new. I will be at Redcloud through the end of the year wrapping up all of the final details for the entity.

When searching for the words to convey my time and experience at Redcloud, I come up with words such as thankful, changed, blessed, overwhelmed with gratitude, free, grounded, and empowered. The Lord has done more than I could imagine in my life and other’s lives through Redcloud. Here I fell in love with the grandeur and beauty of the mountains, the thrill of adventures, made life-long friendships, and experienced the Lord like never before.

My heart has come to know and believe the perfect, unfailing love He has for me. A love that delights in me just because, a love that I dont have to earn, and a love that calls ME beloved! I have found a deeper level freedom that gives me the courage to be imperfect and allows my real self to be seen. He’s made me into a solid tree, with a thick trunk and deep roots, to impart this life and freedom to others. Looking back over the years, I am confident that He is writing a bigger and far more beautiful story than I could have ever imagined. I am filled with joy and will forever treasure and cherish this time.

Make DisciplesJesus called us all to make disciples! We can do that right now, wherever we are, through the means of our present circumstances…IF we are intentional about it. Consider Paul’s focus with the Thessalonians:

“Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us… you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children, so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.” 1 Thess. 2:8,11-12

At Redcloud we are in a unique position to do this in an environment that is free from everyday distractions, is in a community of support, fun, and love, and challenges us all with purposeful activities. YET we, too, can miss the mark of making disciples if we are not intentional. We truly desire to make disciple-makers in this generation to transform the next. Jesus’ method of multiplying faith in the lives of people, who then live to impart their lives into others, is the surest way of reaching the whole world with the gospel in the shortest amount of time. Certainly, His method is the best! But we must intentionally impart the gospel as well as our lives.

Over half of the students that come to Redcloud with the Outdoor Education Program come from broken homes, are living in poverty, and face just

an overall hard life. For these students, coming to Redcloud for three days is an opportunity to

just be a kid – having fun, growing, and learning without any worries about their life back home.

This presents our staff with amazing opportunities to share the hope and love of Christ.

This fall, with much prayer, God moved in powerful ways, ordaining circumstances and

prompting kids to ask questions. Our staff was quick to listen, loving as Christ loves, and bold to

proclaim the life changing truth of the Gospel. Through conversations and adventure activities,

several of the kids from public schools came to know Him as their Savior. Furthermore, these 5th

graders discovered that they are worth something and loved and accepted. They realized they can do more than they thought, gaining confidence,

and growing in trust. Praise God that He is faithful and changes lives!

Bright blue skies, crisp air, golden leaves, school busses, and kids laughing are the sights and

sounds that fill Redcloud in the fall. There’s no better place to be than to be at Redcloud with

your school! Every fall for the past 30 years, Redcloud has had the unique opportunity to

serve and minister to public school students while teaching them about the outdoors. Students

come and get to ride horses, rappel, mountain bike, canoe, and zip line all while learning

educational lessons that focus on the forest, water, wildlife, and stars. The Outdoor Education

Program is one more way God uses Redcloud to change lives and make kids “come alive.”

You’re Wanted

Through generous donations, Redcloud now has a new high ropes course! This course is designed to facilitate

groups with its two-level design and challenging elements that inspire participants to support one another and

communicate effectively. The course also includes a 700 foot double zip line and cargo nets (coming soon).

At Redcloud, we believe when people are challenged and pushed past their perceived limits, it opens up many

opportunities for growth and life-change. We are confident that this high ropes course will be used by God to bring

about transformation in the lives of all who experience it!
