His Excellency Minister of Municipalities Affaires & Urban Planning Dr. Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi has visited the site of the Rashid Al Zayani Majlis, to view the construction progress on the Majlis. He was welcomed by the Honorary Chairman for

Al Zayani Investments Mr. Khalid Rashid Al Zayani, Mr. Haitham Saeed General Manager of Zayani Properties, and Mr. Omar Ayoob from the Rashid Al Zayani Mabara. In his visit the Minister had a look at the construction work for the brand new Majlis, which will feature 2 Majlis, a hall for various occasions area which is approximately 470sqm an a two story parking lot. The property is fully equipped with all the facilities needed to host special occasions as well as regular gatherings for the local community Five shops are also located in the ground floor of the Majlis. The minister expressed his delight to see the work being conducted by the RZ Mabara Charity Foundation and wished them success in their current and future endeavors.

Dear Intilaqa Readers

I am glad to write my last speech in Intilaqa newsletter preparatory to my retirement on reaching a certain age, in order to handover the management to my dear brother Zayed and my children. I am confident the company will continue to command its prestigious commercial and financial position and reach new and creative horizons.

The company started its operations in 1975 with some construction work. It first became the agent for Butler, the manufacturers of steel structures. The company has since

completed a number of projects and got awards for excellence. By the grace of God, we have sold more than 75 iron buildings, thanks to brothers Khalid and Majid (may their souls rest in peace) while the third generations is dealing with cars.

I am please to witness the continuation of our pioneer efforts in car distribution through a number of top-level agencies. I am also glad to see that some of our fourth-generation children are handling them. We will soon celebrate the 70th year of our car distribution network in Bahrain. Our investment in individuals and buildings continues.

The second aspect of Al Zayani Investments is the industrial investment and I am glad that by the grace of God, Al Zayani Investments, through Al Zayani Industries, stands as the

a pioneer industrial company in the private sector in Bahrain. It has succeeded in opening three factories this year - in Turkey, Australia and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. It will conclude a project in Mozambique by the beginning of 2015.

The third aspect is real estate and by the grace of God the achievements of the company are quite evident through its numerous properties inside and outside Bahrain.

I would like to thank Intilaqa readers for following our news through the seasonal newsletter and wish all the best for the young board under the leadership of my brother Zayed. May God protect him.

HRH the Duke of York presented an Honorary OBE to Mr Khalid Al Zayani, Chairman of the Bahrain British Business Forum and Chairman of the GREAT British Week Steering Group on January 17at the British Ambassador’s Residence. Mr AlZayani was awarded an Honorary OBE in the 2013 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to UK business overseas and UK-/

Bahraini relations. Her Majesty the Queen gave permission for the honour to be presented to Mr Al Zayani during the Duke of York’s visit. The ceremony was attended by members of Mr Al Zayani’s family. British Ambassador Iain Lindsay congratulated Mr Al Zayani on receiving his honour, saying “I

am delighted that HRH the Duke of York was able to present Khalid Al Zayani with his Honorary OBE. Khalid has been a passionate supporter of the UK-Bahrain relationship, particularly in the commercial field,” adding: “ As Chairman of the Bahrain British Business Forum since 2009 he has devoted a considerable amount of time and effort to promoting stronger business ties.

Zayani MoTors parTiCipaTEd in THE 7TH gulF indusTry Fair

Zayani Motors participated in the 7th Gulf Industry Fair which took place at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) on February 4 – 6. Zayani Motors participated in spaces outside and inside the fair to showcase products and launch Shantui. The Prime Minister, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa inaugurated the fair and stopped at Zayani Motors stall.

Jaguar Land Rover has been awarded ’Best Outdoor Car Display of the Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS) by Mr. Wassim Farhoud, the BIMS organiser. The Jaguar Land Rover pits highlighted the capabilities and performances of the Land Rover vehicles and the elegance and power of the Jaguar vehicles. The combined display was a huge success, attracted many visitors and stunned the crowd.

Jaguar Land Rover participated in the 4th edition of the Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS) which took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on December 12th – 14th 2013. More than 3,000 visitors enjoyed the motor show and Jaguar Land Rover pit in particular with its eye-catching stand that stunned the crowd.

As part of its Human Resource honoring, Zayani Motors threw a party for the retirement of long-term employee Abbas Yousif Al Saffar. The event was held at the FUSO Workshop on January 30.Abbas, who worked for a total of 38 years in the Zayani Group, was appreciated for his effort, loyalty and years of dedication. The event was attended by all Zayani Motors employees as well as Abbas’ family who were invited as special guests. The event included cutting of a cake in Abbas’ honor, songs, distribution of gifts for Abbas and his family, and a grand buffet.

Zayani Motors customer Kareema S. Jaffar was awarded a shield for her loyalty and trust in ZM after-sales, recently. Kareema drives a 2003 Pajero and has been maintaining her car regularly with Zayani Motors for the last 10 years. Her car was last serviced at 320,000 KMS on 20th October 2013. Zayani Motors cricket team won the trophy at the 8 Aside Cricket Tournament against Asma CC, with a score of 74 runs over 58 runs in 6 overs.

Zayani Motors created this team as an affiliate with Bahrain Cricket League, it emphasis team building and encourage employees to be fit and healthy. The exercises usually takes place in Riffa and Busaiteen every Friday, from 1 PM to 5 PM.

The Managing Director of Euro Motors, Mr Zayed Al Zayani handed an award to BMW Service Advisor, Mr Tanveer Ahmed for achieving “second best” Service Advisor in Middle East for 2013.

Mr. Zayed Al Zayani congratulated Tanveer and encouraged all the Service Advisors to emulate if not better his achievement in 2014.

First Motors, the exclusive dealers of Hyundai vehicles in the Kingdom of Bahrain recently participated in the 4th Edition of the Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS) that took place between 12th – 14th December 2013 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

This year, BIMS received a spectacular turn-out and proved to be an incredible opportunity for First Motors to showcase its 2014 models of Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Centennial, Tucson, Santa Fe, Grand Santa Fe and Veloster. The magnificent cars certainly turned heads and captured the hearts of many motorsport lovers as they visited the First Motors’ pits at the BIMS.

Hyundai Lovers also got the chance to witness the performances of renowned Bahrain-based entertainer DJ Outlaw and Bahraini rapper Flipperachi who performed at

the First Motors’ pits for their entertainment.

Alzayani Investments organized a Go Karting tournament on February 27 at the Bahrain International Circuit with the participation of 100 of the staff from different divisions of the group.

In a night filled with thrill and excitement, Adel Asghar from Euro Motors took the lead and grasped the 1st position with a time of )1:05.223(, while Ali Dashti from Euro Motors and Attiya Mulla from Euro Motors managed to win the 2nd and 3rd positions with time of )1:07.714( and )1:08.078( respectively.

Mustang won the fourth position, Louie from Euro Motors got the fifth position, Marlon from Euro Motors won the sixth position, John Ure from Euro Motors won the seventh position, Samrath S. Dhond from Zayani Motors got the eighth position, Wafi Radhi from First Motors won the ninth position and finally Ahmed Khalaf from Zayani Motors got the tenth position.

This event was under the group’s strategy to create and build family atmosphere for all the staff of the group and ensure building strong relations between the staff and the top management in all divisions.

As a part of the Training and Development Program for Alzayani Investments Group, the Work Ethics Training was held for employees across the divisions at the National Institute of Industrial Training (NIIT) in Hidd from February 16 to 18.

Jaguar Land Rover organised its first charity golf tournament on Friday, January 17 at the Royal Golf Club in Riffa. More than 130 players participated in the early hours of the morning. After a hearty breakfast to the sound of the British Royal Marines band, Mr. Zayed Al Zayani, Euro Motors Managing Director, welcomed the British Ambassador Iain Lindsay to join other competitors and be part of this fundraising event, in support of the Great British Week. Prizes included a 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE, Jaguar luggage sets, Jaguar test drives, British Airways tickets and other exciting giveaways to the delight of the competitors. Players, along with Euro Motors and British Embassy representatives enjoyed the exciting golf day and were delighted by a British themed lunch.
