In every building a continuous air exchange evolves at open doors and gates between inside and outside.

This air exchange arises even at the ideal state, without wind pressure and building leakages only due to the pressure gradient enforced by the temperature differences and the resulting physical pressure compensation. The incoming and outgoing air-flows are nearly identical. Warmluft In many cases the wind pressure, the thermal currents in the building and leakages in the roof effect a pressure gradient into the building, which increases the entering outside air. A great area of the interior can be cold all the time. The compensation of the cold air above the floor can not be achieved with traditional heat sources.
The use of aerial fogs can prevent this, e.g. by influencing the cold air-flow in a way that no cold air can enter the interior.
In addition, the cold air injected into the air-flow and/or penetrating outside air must be conditioned to achieve at least to room temperature. (The lower the injection and the higher the shielding capacity of the aerial fog, the lower is the necessary heating demand.) The blow angle, the volume flow R and the blow velocity have to be coordinated to achieve the force H as counter momentum.
By selecting the suitable design, an adequate solution can be achieved for all types of entrances.

Vertical Assembly By relocating the air vent onto the floor, a low energy expenditure allows for a good shielding capacity, but the higher arrangement of the assembly results in higher demands on design and regulation capabilities of the air-flow direction of the aerial fog.

Alba The range of Alba air curtain consist of a self-supporting steel-sheet housing with sound-insulating lining and a maintenance flap at the bottom. Anodized natural-colored aluminium blow ribs, which are parallel adjustable in the angle of 15°. The intake louver consists of perforated steel-sheet coated in device colors with a EU2 filter behind it. Optional with an intake box for bottom suction and a mounting frame for flush ceiling installations as well as suction and blow sliding units for the installation in suspended ceilings. Hot water design with heat exchanger in copper-aluminium, default connectors at the left top. The most silent air curtain with Teddington sound absorption system
The SILENT air curtain consists of a self-supporting construction which compounds aluminium sections and galvanized steel sheets for the suspended ceiling installation. For the exposed model a compound of aluminium sections and steel-sheets coated in RAL 9010 (pure white) with protection film is used. Other colors are available on request. All sides of the Silent are manufactured in double-layer construction and are provided with a special lining. The suction and pressure areas are lined with sound absorbing linings and fades which allow for an extremely low noise level. The top of the device is equipped with rivet nuts in order to ease the mounting at walls or ceilings. An easy to open intake louver made of perforated steel-sheet in device colors conceals the EU2 filter behind it as well as the standard filter control. The hot water model of the Silent includes a copper/aluminium heating,system which is designed for high performance and a broad range of applications. The heating connections are located by default on the right top. The electrically heated version employs resistor heaters of corrosion-resistant, helical ribs with thermal overheating protection. The double-surged anti-vibration radial fans which are supplied with alternating current (230V, 1Ph, 50Hz) are extremely silent in operation and provide the power-specific air-flows. They are equipped with thermal contacts for a comprehensive motor protection. The blower gate contains aerodynamic ribs in anodized natural colored aluminium, which are each separately adjustable. The suspended ceiling model additionally includes a blower shift support and a suction shift support with an adjustment range of 100-150 mm.

The Problem: Despite the manifold advantages of roundabout doors some problems arise, because due to the rotation cold outside air is transported into the protected room and warm indoor air is transported to the outside. This leads to the so-called „cold sea“, which is not the classic draft, but due to the high temperature gradient produces the sam effect. Depending on the rotation speed of the door the cold air flows in at the lower left or right side. To prevent this effect effectively, a TEDDINGTON aerial fog is required. The Solution: The Saphir air curtain with patented pressure chamber jet system. As it blows for the side into the door, it prevents effectively the entrance of cold air for roundabout doors with up to 6.200 mm diameter.
...the classic approved ! The Teddington RONDO is a special door air curtain for revolving doors, in traditional proven designs. The solid self-supporting construction of the basic case with lateral fixing points (rivet nuts) and the design-dependent blower channels are made of sendzimir galvanized steel-sheets. The suction is accomplished through an intake louver and an EU2 filter behind it, which can be easily replaced or cleaned. The hot water model of the RONDO includes a copper/aluminium heating system which is designed for high performance and a broad range of applications. The heating connections are located by default on the right top. The electrically heated version employs resistor heaters of corrosion-resistant, helical ribs with thermal overheating protection. Depending on the power classes a number of double-surged and anti-vibration borne radial fans, which are supplied with alternating current and feature a very low noise level as well as a comprehensive motor protection via thermal contacts, provide the required air-flow for an optimum shielding. The air-blow is accomplished with a combination of an air-flow baffle chamber with integrated air deflectors for an optimum air duct into the critical areas and an integrated blower grid which is adjusted to the radius of the roundabout door. The louver shutter contains aerodynamic vertical aligned drop-shaped aluminium ribs, which are available as anodized model or can be painted in any RAL color on request.

The NOVA is a self-supporting construction made of galvanized steel-sheets with a swiveling intake louver of perforated steel-sheet and a regenerable EU2 filter behind it. Antifreeze thermostats type FT (for devices with control ST 3/5-MVS) Model with capillary pipe sensor, length of capillary pipe 3 m, with 2 circuits, each designed as reverser Mode of Operation: The antifreeze control has two independent functions. Factory-preset the 1st stage is 5°C higher than the 2nd stage (stage 1: 10°C, stage 2: 5°C). The second stage is used for scaling. The setting can be done in the range of -10° to +12°C, but the difference between the stages is always of 5°C. Example: If the temperature drops to 10°C, the 1st stage switches off the fans. If the temperature is drops further on, the hot water pump or the solenoid valve is switched on at 5°C. This switch effects switching off the fans to prevent cooling or freezing of the registers in case of hot water failure. At risk of freezing in the evening or at the weekend, the heating register is supplied with energy.
Note: The contacts of the antifreeze thermostats of the aerial fogs are always connected to the following terminals: 1st stage - terminals 15/16/17 , 2nd stage - terminals 25/26/27

Ceiling brackets
Basic bracket of type DH 4/6 The length of the ceiling bracket type DH 4/6 can be adjusted by the bracket yoke. The bracket yoke allows for an adjustment of the ceiling brackets to balance the aerial fog.
Luxury bracket of type DHD 4/6 The bracket type DHD 4/6 can be adjusted with the bracket yoke and the turnbuckle. By adjusting the length, the individual brackets required for an aerial fog can be set to balance the aerial fog.

TEDDINGTON Cold store air curtain of the series EVOLVENT - K prevent the exchange of air of opened cooling and freezer rooms and thus contribute to significant energy savings for frequently opened doors. The utilization of the pressure chamber jet system of the series EVOLVENT - K results in a high shielding performance at significantly lower energy consumption compared to traditional devices. Application At opening the cooling door, the air curtain is switched on via the door contact. Via one or more double-surge radial fans and the pressure chamber jet system a firm air flow with high shielding capacity is placed in front of the entire door opening. This air barrier reduces the dissipation of cold air up to 90%. Air Duct Unit The air flow is piped via a pressure chamber jet system. The blow roll can easily be manually adjusted within the range of angles +40°/-40°.
Depend on the door height and the temperature difference between the anteroom and the cold room as well as the height of the cold room. In addition, the device can be adjusted to the operating conditions by changing the blow angle or air-flow (via the speed control). The width of the device should be at least as large as the clearance width.

Operation – Scope of Delivery:
The devices can be delivered with or without electrical control. In the first case, the motor wires and thermal contacts are placed on the attached switch box. The control (5-stage) are located in a steel-sheet housing, completely assembled and ready for operation, with transformer, mains switch, step switch (5-stage), motor protection with thermal contacts, indicator lamps. Installation All devices can be mounted hanging above the door, at the wall or the ceiling. (In addition, a stationary base can be delivered on request). Maintenance Cold aerial fogs do not need a special maintenance. But the intake louver must be cleaned, if it is very dirty (due to the performance drop).
