VEGETATION INDICES (1)
Structural Indices relating to the chlorophyll absorption. Beside the chlorophyll estimation, the indices can help to improve canopy structures estimates.
Structure (NDVI) Physiology (PRI)
Physiology related Indices have proven to be most effective stress oriented. As plants become progressively more stressed and are unable to utilized light absorbed by chlorophyll the Physiology Index becomes increasingly negative.
VEGETATION INDICES (2)Biochemical (SIPI) Leaf Area Index
Biochemical Indices have been developed to measure the overall pigment concentration to quantify specific pigments in plant leaves and canopies. Three pigments contribute significantly to the leaves reflectance: chlorophyll (a+b), carotenoids & anthocyanin.
Monitoring the distribution and changes of Leaf Area Index (LAI) is important for assessing growth and vigour of vegetation on the planet. It is fundamentally important as a parameter in land-surface processes and parameterizations.
BIOMASS ESTIMATION (1)
Crop yield estimation is one of the most important aspects in the farm industry,
One common method for in-season yield monitoring is based on measuring differences on crop canopy reflectance
Based on regression models field yield estimations can by calculated
Biomass (g/m²)
BIOMASS ESTIMATION (2)
Depending on the species accuracies between 45 and 86% can be reached
The estimation accuracy depends on various factors: observation period pre-assessment time series
Beside the Biomass Estimation all relevant parameters are delivered in GI ready data format
