As per Conditions of Tendering-1.8 a final written addendum (if required) will be issued on Monday May 13, 2019 (5 days prior to close of tender). Contractor questions received after 2:00 pm, Friday May 10, 2019 may not be responded to. 2. Confirm all overhead primary line at this site is owned by CRD and not BCH. A: CRD owned. Coordination with BCH is required for shutdowns, inspection before re- energization, new metering equipment for the main generator building, re-energization, etc. 3. Stantec asks for new 3/0 RWU90 CU open wiring on existing pole lead to spillway building. Can they confirm poles have been examined for suitability for this increased physical load, and also they will provide sag and tension data? Should poly ACSR be considered instead of CU RWU? A: Contractor to revise the overhead cable to the spillway P2-SPWY from RWU90 type to Poly ACSR, ACSR cable to be concentrically stranded about a steel core, stranded core wire shall be Class A galvanized. Contractor to reduce the size from 3/0 to 2/0 AWG. 4. The cable schedule indicates this run of cable to be 3 wire and ground. Is a ground expected? A: No, ground wire is not required to the spillway. The spillway building is equipped with a grounding system that is to be maintained, the installation shall comply with CSA C22.1 rule 10.208 5. Please provide location for BCH meter in generator building. A: New meter base to be located on the east wall adjacent to the door latch side mounted at minimum 650mm and maximum 1800mm to the top of the meter. 6. What period of outage time (to swap to alternate generator power) can be taken for, and when: A: The Generator building, Intake Tower, Head Tank building and Spillway building can all accommodate a maximum outage time of 6-hours. A minimum notice of 1-week must be provided prior to the shut down. The shutdown procedure must be coordinated with the CRD Representative. Refer to Specification Section 01 14 00 Work Restrictions Clause 1.4 for further information.
