Questions You Asked in Advance

Page 37: Actively Recruiting Committee Members & Volunteers.

Is APAC a Union? No. APAC is a statutory committee. A union

has a collective bargaining agreement between the constituency and the employer.

A union charges members dues to generate revenue. APAC has a fixed annual budget of about $3,000.

A union has a mandatory, regulated bargaining process. APAC has had to cultivate relationships within the University to provide input and influence change.
