Malaysia consist of 20 universities and quite number of private

universities.Nowadays, almost every state have their own

universities.

Among of them is Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). Kolej

Universiti dan Teknologi Malaysia (KUKTEM) is the first

name before changes to UMP. Since it boost up in year 2008, UMP consist of 7 faculties, 26

pregraduates programme, 18 masters programme, and 14

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.

UMP has reaches its 8 years age, but how far does UMPcreates its name? Hence, less people know about UMP.

how far is the quality of the institution and the quality of the

education promoted in UMP?

Thus, research objective focuses on:

To find out the perception of the outsiders (students tobe) upon UMP, before enrolment and after a period of

having educational time in UMP.

To investigate the factors that support their reason of

upon choosing Malaysia Higher Learning Institution (

in scope of UMP.)

Scope of study : According to the new campus at the Pekan, so we just focuses on the

respondent from the faculty Mechanical and Electrical Engineering . This is

because this only two faculties situated there.

Number of sample /participants :

There are 5 category and each of them consist of 10 respondent. Meaning

that there are 50 total respondent which is

a) Diploma programme students

b) Pre graduation students

c) Post graduation students

d) PhD students

e) Foreigner students
