The first term of the academic year 2019 -20 was packed with many curricular activities. The Weekly Tests and the First Terminal Examinations formed a busy schedule for the students of XI and XII. After bidding a cheerful adieu to the previous session, we once again greet
the new academic session 2019-20 with a feeling of success, new hopes and
aspirations. The first term of the academic year 2019 -20 was packed with

Examinations formed a busy schedule for the students of XI and XII. Each

ACADEMIC CORNER
SLIP TESTS: TO ASSESS AND TO SUPPORT
Three to four Slip Tests were conducted before the First
Terminal examination in an effective manner to evaluate
and equip the children in their subject knowledge. It was
also a revision before their terminal exams.
STAY BACK CLASSES TO COMPENSATE
THE LOSS OF CLASS HOURS
Six days of stay back classes were conducted from 2.30 -
4.30 pm before the commencement of Ramadan to cover the
portion for the smooth completion of the syllabus of the first
Terminal examination.
SYLLABUS COMPLETED
The syllabus of the first term was covered as planned in the
speculated time period and a thorough revision was
conducted in all the classes. 40% of the entire syllabus was
covered before the summer vacation.
WEEKLY TESTS
The first weekly tests for the class XII were conducted in the
months of March and April. The weak students who scored
less than 40% of marks were identified and given special
guidance for improvement by the subject teachers. The
second round of weekly tests for the class XII and the first
weekly tests for the class XI started in the month of May and
will be completed by the month of September.
FIRST TERMINAL EXAMINATION
The First Terminal Examination for Grade XI and XII
commenced on-19th to 28th of May, 2019. It tested the
knowledge of all the students in various subjects.
REMEDIAL CLASSES FOR WEAK STUDENTS
Remedial classes were conducted for Classes XI and XII
from 17th June to 26th June, 2019-20 from 2:30 pm to 4:30
pm in a diligent manner for the students, securing less than
40% mark in the examination.
DPS-MIS FELICITATED 240 STUDENTS FROM GRADE VI TO IX &
XI FOR 100% ATTENDANCE IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19
On 11th April 2019, DPS-Modern Indian School organized a felicitation ceremony to
appreciate the dedication and punctuality of the 100% attendance achievers from Grade
VI to IX & XI (2018-19). The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Harish Kanjani,
Director DPS-MIS.
Around 240 students from Grade VI to IX & XI (2018-19) were awarded with badges and
certificates of appreciation for their 100% attendance. A scintillating folk dance by the
budding artists of DPS-MIS concluded the ceremony.
The programme was adeptly coordinated by Ms. Deepa Chakraborty, (Activity
