The Industrial Sector

The industrial sector started to develop in the 1950’s.

In the 1980’s, operating firms moved to nearby cities while keeping their headquarters in Istanbul.

In the 1990’s, industrial production started to move out; yet major industrial companies still direct operations from Istanbul.
