The Moon

I'm a piece of rock in space. I am earth’s only moon. Some people think I am made of cheese. I am not made of

cheese.

The moon and craters.

I have craters because big pieces of rock hit me and that causes the craters. They hurt when they hit me but the pain doesn’t last long. Its like being hit with a tennis ball.

I orbit the earth and cause high tide and low tide. I am slowly moving away from earth.

In 1969 the Apollo 11 went to space and landed on me. They stuck a flag in me.

Lunar Eclipse

I have a Lunar Eclipse every two years. The earth comes between me and the sun and causes me to have a Lunar Eclipse.
