Legal education in India is dynamically evolving these days. Studying law has increasingly become a compelling career for students and many parents are encouraging them to pursue a degree in Law. INFRASTRUCTURE

CAMPUS

IFIM campus is spread over two-acres with a variety of advanced infrastructure facilities. The library is spread over 3000 sq. ft. area, with numerous well reputed journals, books, dissertation reports, and A/V resources. The library maintains an online information system designed to help students flip through online journals and other relevant resources. IFIM Law College has access to reputed legal databases like Manupatra, Westlaw, etc.

The classrooms / lecture halls are of varying seating capacities and have multimedia projector systems. The Conference Halls have been exclusively designed for Executive Development Programs. A state-of-the-art auditorium is available for conducting conferences/seminars and events. These elements facilitate modern day pedagogy in an ecosystems, which emulates the high-profile corporate design.

HOSTEL

The hostel is located on a lush two acre campus and in close proximity to the main campus. Transportation to and from the hostel is available at the campus. The hostel campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled and has well equipped spacious rooms, made available on first-come-first-serve basis. IFIM hostel assures a comfortable stay for the students during the course of study and a home away from home.

MOOT COURT

IFIM Law College Moot Court Hall has a state-of-the-art projection system that allows international live broadcasting facilities in the hall. IFIM Law College strongly promotes mooting as an essential activity amongst its students.

The IFIM Law College’s internship and placement cell works diligently to ensure that students are assigned challenging internships, which are advantageous to their professional and personal growth. MOOTINGMooting is the centrepiece of IFIM Law College’s program. Every student is encouraged, and is in fact expected to take part in at least one moot court competition during their five years of legal study. We have a state-of-the-art moot court room, where our students will learn and practice the art of oral advocacy. We have a Moot Court Committee and a dedicated Moot court trainer that oversees the functioning of the Moot Court Society (MCS). Members and office bearers of the MCS, who will be elected on an annual basis, are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the smooth functioning of the society. A moot court coordinator with vast experience in training moot teams has also been appointed to train the students. IFIM Law College has participated in the following moots in this academic year:

ADMISSIONS

ELIGIBILITY

• Passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates)

• The maximum age limit for a candidate is 20 years as on June 1, 2017 (22 years for SC/ST candidates)

• Must have qualified in any one of the entrance examinations, viz., CLAT, LSAT or ILAT (IFIM’s Law Admission Test)

Eligibility criteria is subject to change based on University directives and all admissions have to be approved by Karnataka State Law University.

The scholarship is intended to encourage meritorious students who demonstrate academic excellence and enable those in financial need to pursue law and qualify as a lawyer. The scholarship is a way to demonstrate IFIM’s social responsibility and its commitment to nation building.
