Overnight: Hilton Hawaiian Village (or similar) January 12th, 2013 ~ Memorial Day in January This morning the TRIPS stawill escorting you to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. The Memorial is build right over the Arizona which was sunk by a Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. Afterwards, you’ll head to Hilo Hatties where you can pick up some colorful Hawaiian shirts or even a grass skirt for a hula dance! Then board the Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America and set sail at 7pm. Overnight: At Sea (D) January 13th, 2013 ~ Beautiful Maui Today you dock at Kahului at 8am for an overnight visit. Islanders say “Maui no ka oi,” which means Maui is the best! Created millions of years ago by two volcanoes Maui is renowned for its indescribable sunsets, multi- colored beaches, lush rain forests alive with waterfalls, valleys covered with exotic flowers and fruit, quaint fishing villages, and rolling hills with sprawling ranches. Shore excursions could include a view of the dramatic Haleakala crater which measures 71/2 miles long by 21/2 miles wide and last erupted in 1790. January 17th, 2013 ~ A garden paradise!Today, at 8am, you dock at Nawiliwili, Kauai. Called the Garden Isle, you’ll have an overnight stay here. Hollywood loves this island, with scenes from Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and King Kong all filmed here. You may choose to sign up for an excursion to the Bali Ha’i Mountains from South Pacific or to take a relaxing river cruise (with local music, dances, and narration) to the Fern Grotto where an Hawaiian chorus will serenade you in a naturally formed amphitheater. Everyone should choose to take at least one helicopter flight seeing trip in their life. On Kauai, you will see the Waimea Canyon often referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, and the rugged valleys and cliffs of the Na Pali Coast as well as the wettest spot on earth, the Waialeale Crater. Enjoy time on deck watching the dolphins and whales frolic, take some practice swings at the Golf Driving Net, or simply relax poolside! You can rejuvenate in the luxurious, world class Spa or work out in the fitness center. Learn about the islands and the many ports of call from the onboard expert lecturers and at dinner enjoy the magical views and wonderful music in one of the thirteen lounges.
