Performance Series IP Cameras Certificate Installation Guide Document 800-22243 - Rev A - 06/2016 Thank you for purchasing a Honeywell Performance Series IP camera. The camera uses HTTPS, a secure communication protocol that verifies the identities of visited websites and servers and encrypts data exchanged between the client and the server. When you log in to the camera’s web client for the first time, some browsers may display a warning that the connection is not private/secure. To access the web client, you must install a Honeywell-signed security certificate. If you are using a Firefox web browser, you will also need to configure a security exception. Note The camera configuration web browser is only supported by IE11, Firefox46.0.1 or later version. The installation of the security certificate involves three sets of steps: • Logging in (and, if applicable, configuring a security exception) • Downloading the root certificate • Installing the root certificate Open your browser and enter the camera’s IP address in the address bar. If you are using Internet Explorer, a message appears warning of a problem with the website’s security certificate. Click Continue to this website. If you are using Firefox, a message appears warning that the connection is not secure. Click Advanced, and then click Add Exception. In the login window, enter your username (default: admin) and password (default: 1234), and then click Login. Click the message in the center of the browser window to download and install the plugin.
