chopsticks in the bow l. Itw ouldbe proper to use achopsticks rest w hich is

like a tiny version of a spoon rest for the stove. Number 4 does not make it

an offering to the dead because of chopstick placement, in the Japanese

funeral ceremony when they off er a bow l of rice to the passed soul they

leave the chopsticks in the rice like that so to do so at the dinner table w ith

your ow n bowl could be consideredoffensive. If you want something fun

about dinner etiquette the proper way to eat soup in Japan is to use tw o

hands to bring the bow l to your mouth to drink straight fr om the bow l. That

w ould get you a funny look in a nice restaurant here!

The dessert spoon & fork are the correct shape, they are slightly bigger

than a teaspoon, I even got mine out and checked them. How ever I do

agree with everyone that the soup spoon show n is the w rong shape!
