ON A GROUP OF CLAIMS
FOR
CONSOLIDATRD KEGUS f4INES LIMITED
KAMLOQPS MIKIRG DIVISION
XAHLOOPS, SRSP.ISA COLUKBIA
During the period April 5 to September 16, 1965,
a magnetometer auxvey and an induced polarization survey wer%
carried out on the property of consolidated Negus Mine0 Limited
which is located near Ka~loope, Rritish Columbia. The Elllrv%y
was aonducted by Sulmac Kxploration Services L&&ted.
The field work was under the supervision of
R. Pild, geophysicist. Rasic coverage of the magnetometer-
survey consisted of reading at 100 foot intervals along lines.
200 feet apart, while the I.P. survey was carried out over
alternate lines.
Results of the surveys are shown on the maps
accompanying this report.

SWIXLILI~~ I~ecomendations -
A magnetometer and an induced polarieation
xurvey were carried out over the property of Consolidated Wegus
Mines Limited located near Kanloops, British Colurebia. The
magnetamoter survey indicated thot the property is probably
underlain by rocks of the Nicola Group with possible small
intrusions of more basic rock-a. A number of faults and
contacts are al50 inferred from the magnetometer reeulte.
The I.??. survey did not locate any zones of
interent that bould warrant further investigation at this time.
Fiowever, it is recommended that a study be made
of the geophysical results and the qeolcqical survey of the
property in conjunction with those of the adjoining proparties.
By this means a more detailed analysis of the dats could be
made which would be of benefit to all companies concerned.
Property-, Location and Access ---.------
The property of Consolidated Negua Mines Limited
discussed in this report consists of a group of 42 mineral
claims. These .are sho*wn on the accompanying map and are listed
as follows:
-3-
RO 37, 39, 41, 41, 45'
RO 83 to 99 fnclusfv@
RO 101, 103, 100 to 112 inclusive, 125-132 incluefve
no 145 - 147 inclusive ,.
80 $lPr and RO %2Fr
Locntfon of the property is 8 miles southwest
of #amloops, British Columbia. A good gravel road paeees
along the east boundary of the claim group. This road, known
a8 the Lac Le Jauna road, j o ne i the main Trane-Canada Righway
some 5 miles west of KaEIloops.
Method of Survey and Instrument Data - _____--_--
I .P. Electrode &=a
The data were obtained using the *three-electrode ~.
array". This array con&ate of one current and two
potential electrodes (PI and Pa) which are moved together
along the survey line. The second current electrode tC,) is,
Sixed at “infinity*. A basic electrode spacing OS 200 feet was
used for the survey.
X.P. Instrument_
The instrument used was of the pulse-type and is
sfnrilar in &sign ant? operation to that described by R.W. Baldwin

Traosaetiona, Vol. 214, 1959. Power for the unit is obtained
frm a Eriggs and Stratton 4 I3.P. motor coupled to a 400 c.p.8.
generator whisk provides a maximum of 1500 watts d.c. to the
ground. me cycling rate is 1.5 seconda current on and 0.5
seconds current off, :the pulsas reversfncJ continuously in
polarity. The data collectsad consists of measurement of the
current (X) flowing through Cl and C2 and of the prlmaty voltage
(Vp) between PI and PP during the 'curxent on' period. Durfng
the 'current 0fP' period the overvoltage appariag between PI
and P2 is monsurcd. This gives a measurement of the polariatl-
tion (V,)in mfllfseconde. The "apparent chargeabilityR in
milliseconds is calculated by dividing the polarization (Vs)
by the primary voltage (VP). The *apparent resistivitya in
okm-metero ia obtained by dividing tke primary voltage Vp by
the current I, and multiplying by a propoxtional.ity factor
which depentls on the geometry of the array used.
E.P. Data --1_
14 line grid was established throughout the
praperty baaed on lines 200 feet apart with pickete at 100 foot
intervals along the Lines. The baseline of the grid we6 eotab-
lisbed in a north-south direction and the traverse lines were
turned off at right snglcs to this line. A total. of 62.6 miles
-5-
of line wem cut and chained. The I.P. survey was carried out
over alternate lines using an electrode spacing of 200 feet:
A total of 29.5 milee,of,~,..l~.n~, weru,,qurvqyed. ./
The results of the survey are shown as contouz
maps of "chargeability" and "tesiativfty" at a scale of 400 feet
to the inch.
HmtoEeter Ssrkxey ---
The magnetometer survey was carried out over all
the picket lines. A total of 55.7 miles of line were surveyed
