While Loof – aka the Godfather of rooftop bars – has been around for over a decade, it wasn’tuntil the Instagram boom that led to its iconic neon signage popping up everywhere on ourfeeds. From a humble hawker stall to a full-�edged noodle bar, the brand new establishment whips up reimagined bowls of the originalSeng’s Wanton Mee. Think Char Siew Mee ($7) featuring Japanese-style slow cooked pork belly;and Xiang Gu Mee ($7) topped with a generous serving of braised shiitake mushrooms. It’s no secret that we Singaporeans love our chicken. At Roost, this 60-seater specialty jointdishes up all things chicken with a fresh twist – from sharing plates like Chicken Chawanmushi($4.90) and Chicken Sushi ($4.90); to their signature Yin Yang Chicken Rice ($8.90), whichcomes with hearty portions of �avoursome poached chicken and succulent soya sauce chicken.For the �tness-conscious, opt for the healthier versions of their Poached Chicken Rice ($8.50)and Soya Sauce Chicken Rice ($8.90) for a guilt-free indulgence that amounts to less than 500calories.
