UFV Uniflo® SeriesCryoquip’s UFV Uniflo® Series ambient air vaporizer is an entirely new, patented* concept in high-flow natural draft vaporizers, designed for ambient air vaporization of cryogenic fluids. The Uniflo® vaporizer had significant advantages over conventional designs for high flow service. The heat transfer elements are connected in parallel, which eliminates the differential thermal gradients between extrusions.Counter flow heat exchange between the downward flow of air in natural convection and the upward flow of the cryogenic in the vaporizer improves the thermal performance substantially compared to conventional designs with the same surface area.Ice accumulates safely during continuous operation in the lower part of the vaporizer with ice free extrusions protruding out of the ice pack. The low ice build-up lowers the center of gravity and therefore, reduces structural requirements in meeting the Uniform Building Code (UBC).

• Increase ground clearance further enhances heat transfer by natural convection.• Extra capacity. Each finned aluminum heat transfer element features eight fins which measure 8 inches (200 mm) from tip to tip and
provide high capacity performance and fast defrosting. Elements have approximately 5 square feet per foot length (1.5 square meters per meter length) of external heat-exchanger surface area.
• Low pressure drop, full-bore passages in the elements provides more flow cross section. Internal fins promote heat transfer with additional surface area.
• Heat transfer elements of heights to 23ft (7,010 mm) are available to meet a range of process demands. Common assembly configurations and ratings are shown on the reverse side.
• New, larger bore fluid pages are available to maintain ultra low pressure drops on high flow rate multiple element units.
For models to meet special requirements including other models for greatly extended operating periods; for low pressure drop requirements for these vaporizers and others; for pressure drops for 8 hour ratings- consult Cryoquip. Pressure drop is less than 10% for the 1 day rating, based on 150 psig (10.3 bar) inlet pressure for all models except the L-18 and L-20 series. The performance of ambient air vaporizers is subject to many factors. These include flow, duty cycle, ambient temperature, relative humidity, freeze period, altitude, wind, solar radiation, operating pressure and proximity to adjacent structures. The effects of average solar and wind conditions are not included in the above ratings. Ratings are based on mean ambient conditions of 70ºF (21ºC) and 70% relative humidity. Special conditions may vary considerably for a particular application, thereby affecting performance.

Cryoquip manufactures a new series of NEMA 4 modular Electric vaporizers. The new units are available for use with industrial gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon (model VEB), and Carbon Dioxide (model VEC) as well as other special fluids.

• Electric Cryogenic Vaporizer utilize high quality electric heating elements and stainless steel process tubes.
