WelcomeTO THE COUNT RIDGE RED ANGUS 47TH ANNUAL BULL SALE!
We are thrilled with the new approach to our sale this year! No matter whether you join us IN PERSON or ONLINE, we guarantee to bring you some of the BEST GENETICS IN THE RED ANGUS BUSINESS!
For over 47 years Count Ridge Red Angus has been dedicated to developing a herd which delivers the traits of fertility, longevity, profitability, ease of handling and of course, some of the Best Beef to be found! These outstanding cattle will prove themselves in your herd by boosting your bottom line and leaving a legacy of profitability.
We are dedicated to raising bulls for breeding – not finished cattle or show-ring divas. They have been fed appropriately to bring out their best features and provide adequate evaluation of their potential abiliy, without pushing them so hard as to compromise feet, health or reproductive capabilities. These bulls are semen tested and ready to go to work. They have been on feed since 09/03/2020 and weighed/evaluated every 30 days to monitor performance. We welcome your research into their EPD’s which may be found on “Animal Inquiry” through the Canadian Angus Association website. (Data in the catalogue was current at the time of printing) The Count Ridge Red Angus Herd is a carefully crafted “Performance Herd,” backed by years of DOCUMENTED PERFORMANCE REPORTING AND INTEGRITY, enabling us to reliably provide you with the qualities you are looking for!
This year we have invited Crooked Tree Ranch, Jenner, to participate in the sale with 25 (Full Herd Health) Red Commercial Heifers. These are not our cattle, but Willy and Kendra have impressed us with their careful selection of bulls from our sales in past years, and we are confident that they will fill your commercial needs admirably.
WE ARE ALWAYS GRATEFUL FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION AT OUR SALE AND HAVE IMMENSE GRATITUDE FOR ALL OUR BUYERS, PAST AND PRESENT! WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON SALE DAY!
All Our Best,
George & Laura Baxter

Laura Baxter is honoured to be one of the “2021” nominees standing for election on behalf of the Province of Alberta to the CANADIAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
In recent years the voter participation by Members has been abysmal, with only ~29% of Purebred Breeders being sufficiently engaged as to even return their ballot!
Please take the time to check out the candidates- (there are 6) and CAST YOUR BALLOT!
A biography (outlining candidates qualifications and objectives for inclusion) should be available by March 8th for folks to get to acquainted with the candidates.
If you have any thoughts you would like to share with Laura regarding the industry - please call or drop an email: [email protected]
The process for electing the next Alberta Director will be as follows:
1) Mail-out of ballots with a self-addressed return envelope and electronic voting will go live on Wednesday, March 10.
2) Ballots must be returned to the CAA office with a postmark deadline on or before Friday, April 9 and electronic voting will end at midnight.
3) Ballots will be counted on Monday, April 19. Ballots will be counted by a board-appointed scrutineer in the presence of CEO Myles Immerkar.
