Nowadays, Winback devices have a power that is more than sufficient for rehabilitation treatments. In this area, intensities used by therapists that are experienced with Winback rarely exceed 50% in CET or RET for a short (monoarticular) segment. For a polyarticular segment, intensity can rise up to 70%.

Taking stock of the technology

Save some time thanks to hyperthermia yet risk a rebound effect for the patient or use Winback software features?

Frequently, therapists who exceed these intensity thresholds shorten their time of treatment yet significantly increase the rebound effect on their patients, who will wake up the following day with pain and stiffness. In order to reduce this rebound effect, therapists must consequently, by the end of the treatment, spend more time in their calm-restoring phase, the latter of whose time generally must be doubled (more than 5 minutes).

The reason is essentially generated hyperthermia (also known as Thermoback) that must be eliminated after treatment.

What should you do? ?

WINBACK’S ASSET:

EFFICACYKeep Thermoback to a minimum and favour Bioback, that is speed up metabolism for a quicker injured tissue healing. Be that as it may, the general agreement between therapists is to treat patients with 50% and 70% CET thresholds.

To avoid exceeding these thresholds, Winback provides you with several features to maximise your results with the least power:

• DEEPCET to concentrate energy in depth with a broader and more diffuse area• SUPERPULSE to create hyperthermia with occasional peaks• RET+ to stimulate deep hyperthermia with muscle contraction

This series of features enables tissues a better elimination of hyperthermia generated by the patient during the treatment. A simple 2-min return to a state of calm completes this immensely efficient treatment.
