Forget the old saying, “Come _ _ _ _ or high water,” and spread the new phrase: “Fremont County Fair and its Supporters triumph over high water!” The Fremont County Fair is something special and I am going to “toot the horn!” Being on the “inside” this year, certainly widened my vision of how and why the fair is so successful! I dare not mention names, of course, as I would surely leave out or not even know of an individual who helped in the areas of: pre-fair clean up; watered or planted flowers; emp- tied trash or cleaned bathrooms; provided security; volunteered within the livestock project areas; volunteered in the food stand to cover shifts; auctioneers; clerks; superintendents of every division; and not to mention, those who secretly help behind the scenes daily! I also must mention the family and friends of all our 4-H’ers and their enduring support ! Lastly, I must give thanks to the Fremont County Fair Board (aka the Fremont County Fair As- sociation) and their devotion to the youth development program of 4-H and the overall success of the fair. WHEW! A special shout-out to my co-workers and their commitment to mentoring and initiating this “newbie” during the fair! God Bless and keep smiling! MISSION STATEMENT 4-H EMPOWERS YOUTH TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL WORKING
Safety and Education Shooting Sports (SESS)
First Fremont County 4-H SESS Day Camp!
Please Call or email the Extension Office and
let us know if you are interested!
4-H Safety and Education in Shooting Sports (SESS) uses skills and disciplines of shooting to assist young
people and their leaders in obtaining knowledge and developing life skills. The disciplines include archery, rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader and wildlife skills. This year Fremont County is offering archery. When we have more certified instructors, we can offer more disciplines.
The skills required for the responsible use of firearms carries over into many other parts of life. 4-H Shooting Sports
Programs provide a positive experience for youth and promote the safe and ethical use of firearms. Parents are
encouraged to be involved and help out with safety.
□ Learn safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment including sound decision making, self-discipline, and concentration.
□ Promote the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior.
□ Encourage understanding of our natural resources and the development of a personal environmental stewardship ethic through participation in shooting, hunting, & related activities!
Fremont County SESS instructors: Anne Chambers, Gary Whipple, & Logan Benteman.
SESS Coordinators: Scott Lowthorp, Andrea Rexroth.
