We had over 350 music lovers in at- tendance for this terrific community building event. I’d like to especially thank Mr. Bal- lard, Ms. deWood, and Mr. Andrews for coor- dinating the evening. A special shout out goes to the Sarsfield family for donating all of the food and HPFC members for working the concession stand. All proceeds earned goes back to our science program. The musical acts this year were phenomenal. Black Lightning and the Thunderbolts featuring the Raindrops were fan- tastic! The kids loved getting Black Lightning’s autograph after the show. This week, we begin our graduation season. Tuesday night is Honors Night. Wednesday, the 8th graders will go to Great America and Friday is the Ice Cream Social. The gradu- ates are preparing their final portfolio projects and will present them at a Colloquium on May 24th. This year, Hawkins will be hosting the district’s summer school program and the Great Valley Writing Project’s Writing Camp. These are both excellent opportunities for students to continue their learning over the summer break. All students can benefit from en- riching activities over the summer, like visiting museums or library book clubs. Please keep that in mind as you plan your summer. Christina Orsi
