Parking & Transportation Services is an auxiliary department of The University of New Mexico that functions under Institutional Support Services. We operate the largest transportation system in NM after ABQ RIDE. Shuttle rides average approximately 1.5 million annually.

• The UNM campus is divided into parking zones.

• Permits allow parking in the zone stated on the permit.

• Permits are only valid when properly displayed on your vehicle.

Students will need their UNM ID and vehicle(s)* registration info

Enforcement Services

PATS Enforcement Officers operate on campus to offer help, advice and information. Enforcement Officers ensure and maintain

a high-quality, well-managed parking service to customers.

Please Note:• There is enforcement during academic breaks and throughout the Summer.• UNMPD may also take action for serious parking regulation breeches.

• Please follow the instructions on theticket envelope promptly.

• Citation appeals are initiated onlineonly, though if in doubt, please call us.

• Go to PATS.UNM.EDUthen click on ‘Appeal or Pay a Citation’.

• Appeal or pay within five (5) business days.

• PATS cannot release account information to parents without written consent from students 18 years and older.
