PMSSB PROFILE PETRONAS Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (PMSSB) was established on

4th June 1992 and is wholly owned by PETRONAS.

PMSSB is vested with the authority on behalf of PETRONAS to enforce

the PETRONAS Policy on Maritime Activities.

PMSSB main role is to be the focal point for the provision of marine

expertise, consultancy and services to PETRONAS and all its OPUs.

PMSSB is certified ISO 9001:2000 from Bureau Veritas

Quality International (BVQI).

PMSSB has two wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Kertih Port Sdn Bhd

(KPSB) in Terengganu and Sungai Udang Port Sdn Bhd (SUPSB) in

Melaka.

MARINE SERVICES & CONSULTANCY

Provision of Marine Consulting Services on Newbuilt

Vessels for Upstream and Downstream Operations

including issuance of specifications, tender exercise

management, construction supervision, progress surveys,

sea-trials and performance test.

Provision of marine controllers and rig movers for the

upstream industry.

PMSSB is an approved consultant by the Marine Dept,

Ministry of Transport, Malaysia to conduct Port facility

Security Assessment (PFSA) and develop Port Facility

Security Plan (PFSP) in accordance with the ISPS Code.

MARINE ASSURANCE

SHIP VETTINGPETRONAS Policy on Maritime Activities requires vessel

calling at PETRONAS Terminals and vessels which are to be

chartered by operators for the carriage of petroleum orpetrochemical products in bulk, shall be vetted by PMSSB.

The authority to exercise its expertise on behalf of

PETRONAS when any reference of an approval by

PETRONAS is made in the policy has also been vested to

PMSSB.

PMSSB engaged qualified professional to undertake vetting,which consist of Class 1 Master Mariners and Class 1

Marine Engineers as well as Third Parties inspectors.
