Actuator retrofitting work means changing your old actuator with new one. There could be several reasons why you want to do this. Some of them are:
1. The actuator is damaged2. The actuator was undersized3. The actuator is obsolete4. Safety Integrity System (SIS) requirement
VOSS has access to engineering expertise that can offer consultancy prior to any retrofitting work. We can size your pneumatic, hydraulic, gas over oil or motor actuators to suit the valves that are currently in use.
We can also check the valve’s required torque at site and verify with the manufacturing value. This exercise results in a more suitable range of actuator sizing for better operation of the valve.

We offer a wide range of services inclusive of soft parts replacement, repair, testing, refurbishment and VOSS Specializes Services.
To ensure the quality of our services, we conform to the relevant engineering standards or to our clients’ own standards. We are proud to have built the know-how, skills, tools and resources to preserve valves for seaworthy transportation or for long-term inwarehouse storaging. Voss Specialized Services
Fugitive Emission Test (FET)VOSS is equipped with Alcatel Adixen 124, a helium leak detector that has a helium sensitivity range of between 10-11atm.cc/s. With this equipment, VOSS can perform FET to check whether your valves comply with any standard such as American National Standard Institution.
TroubleshootingWe can send our Engineers, Supervisors or Technicians to troubleshoot problematic valves and actuators at plant sites or offshore. Our personnel have the knowledge and skills to help you to troubleshoot operational-mechanical / instrument problems that you have at site. We are also backed by internal and external engineering expertise that can help to check your valve, actuator or whole actuated valve system.
Online Safety Valve Testing (OSVT)OSVT is a method to find the set point of the safety valve while the valve is in service. It is a relatively new approachover the conventional test benchmethod. It can be used as a ConditionMonitoring practice to check thehealth of the safety valve, reduce themaintenance frequency andconsequently reduce maintenancecost by avoiding unnecessaryshutdown. Our OSVT system has aproven test accuracy of less than 3%divergence from the true set point.Coupled with an ultrasonic sensor, the“start-to-leak” point can be identifiedand add to the accuracy of the setpoint result. OSVT has been widelyused in developed countries as areplacement to the conventional testbench method and it is a growingmethod of testing safety valve in Asia.
Positive Material Identification (PMI)We have 1 unit of Niton Analyzer XL3T 800 that can be used to analyze the composition of material. This is useful when you want to verify the material of your valves or actuator against what is stated in datasheet. You can also use PMI for other neighboring equipment such as piping (for but weld joint) and flanges for selecting proper gaskets.
Hydraulic TorquingOur Torqlite IU-10XK &IU 3XL are essential whenassembling the valves andactuators. HydraulicTorquing will ensure thatthe valves and actuatorshave the correct torque toavoid any quality issues.
Torque MeasurementVOSS owns Norbar PT11,PT1A, equipment used tocheck the torque requiredto turn the valves. Withthis equipment, you cancounter check the valuegiven the manufacturer ofthe valves for by betteractuator selection.
Manufacturer’s PaintingOur facilities are equipped with paintingfacilities that can comply to offshore specificationor any relevant painting specification.
Repairing leaking valves in industrial pipelines is a laborious operation involving extended downtime, production losses and substantial, unwanted costs. Losses are minimized if valves can be reground in situ, precluding the need to dismantle and remove defective valves from the pipeline.

Valve Lubrication (Greasing) & SealantWe have reliable high pressure valve lubrication & sealant injection equipment with highly trained personnel focusing on performing the works (lubrication & sealant injection) on pipeline valves. This service can be done without dismantling the valve from the pipeline.
We also provide periodic maintenance to ensure smooth function of the valves. This will help to extend the service life of the valves.
Safety Valve & Control Valve Servicing and TestingVOSS is equipped with a skillful workforce that are able to perform Safety Valve and Control Valve servicing and testing with high quality lapping expertise. We can perform Computerized Pressure Test on this valve to find the accurate set point of the Safety Valve; and Computerized Control Valve Seat Test to test the leakage rate of the Control Valve. Our test benches are mobile and can be connected to a laptop installed with Valve Testing Software. The generated report will be available in softcopy and/or hardcopy.
