Photographers allocated a red bib will have access to the track apron and track
centre infield and team areas. They will also have access to a working area in the
track centre which will be equipped with working spaces, cabled internet and power
points.
Yellow bib photographers
Photographers allocated a yellow bib will have access to the spectator concourse
including designated photographers’ ‘spots’ and to the medal ceremony area during
podium presentations. Access to the track centre infield and team areas will be
granted (when possible) on a temporary basis.
Medal ceremonies
Photographers may take photographs from behind the roped off area in front of the podium with
priority given to red bib photographers. Please follow the instructions of the media staff working in
this area and bear in mind that the area in front of the roped off area is reserved for the host
broadcaster.
Guidance for photographers
A briefing for photographers will take place on Wednesday 28 February at 14.30 in the infield
media area. Photography bibs will be distributed following this briefing and throughout the
competition. Subsequently, bibs will be returned to the responsible person, Wings Media Manager
Laura Folchi. Bibs require a deposit of €50 or a professional press/photographer card.
Photographers must follow the instructions of race officials at all times. Race officials may remove
photographers from the track apron at their discretion.
Photographers shooting on the track apron must wear their red bib at all times. Photographers on
the track apron are responsible for themselves and any consequences of their behaviour and must
stay within 1.5 metres of the inner fence at all times.
Photographers may not place any equipment including tripods, bags and clothing on the apron in
case a rider needs to exit the track unexpectedly.
Please be aware of what is happening on the track at all times and never turn your back on
the cyclists who will always travel in an anti-clockwise direction on the track. Please also take
11
care not to impede race officials in their management of the event.
Please do not step in front of the infield cameras as the event is being broadcast live on
television.
During the Keirin events, please be aware that the derny will exit the track in the back straight with
two and a half laps to go.

Filming
The rights for continuous filming of the event (racing and podium ceremonies) are restricted to
the authorized parties. Filming for broadcast (including online) may only take place by written
permission of UCI. Please refer to the broadcast contact details at the end of this document.
IMPORTANT:
Broadcast media non-rights holders (also valid for digital/social media channels) are not allowed to
use their camera or any electronic device with integrated camera in the infield of the velodrome.
However, access to the media area for the journalistic work or editing of interviews filmed in the
press conference room is granted.
Mixed Zone
Post-race interviews with riders will be organised in the mixed zone situated nearby the podium.
Broadcast media rights holders who have booked a dedicated mixed zone position will be able to
interview the riders before the medal award ceremonies, whereas broadcast media who have not
booked a dedicated position, and written press will have the opportunity to meet the riders after the
ceremony – with a separate box designed for each category.
Broadcast media non-right holders will have the possibility to meet the riders after the mixed zone
procedure in a dedicated press conference room in the proximity to the access stairs of the press
area. For any inquiries, please contact Tobias Friedrich.
However, interviews have got to be arranged with the athlete’s team press office or equivalent.
Contact persons: Tobias Friedrich (broadcast media), Louis Chenaille (written press)
Security and equipment
We ask that you please keep your equipment in the media areas as tidy as possible so it does not cause obstruction or hazard to other people working in the media centre.
Lockers will be available on a first come first serve basis on the internal and external concourse
close to the infield media area. All lockers will be emptied and checked at the end of each day, so no
items must be left overnight. The use of the lockers is free of charge.
No responsibility is taken by the organisers for any equipment or valuables belonging to media. If
you have any concerns regarding security or safety, please refer them to a member of the press
team who will contact someone accordingly.

6. BROADCAST MEDIA All access to the infield for broadcast media (TV, video and radio personnel) will be organised
according to the different tiers detailed below. In order to provide the broadcast crews with the
best service possible, bibs should be collected as soon as possible upon arrival from the UCI
broadcast contacts mentioned at the end of the document.
For organisational reasons, please note that a €50 deposit will be required for bibs.
General access and restrictions
Host Broadcaster
As dedicated production partner, the host broadcaster’s team will be allowed to
access all areas in order to ensure a first-class television signal at European
Broadcasting Union’s standard. The host broadcaster’s team are therefore the
only audiovisual media allowed to access the apron during the event.
Rights holders
Rights holders will have permanent access to their respective areas in the mixed
zone (RH’s corridor/dedicated position) and the team areas in the infield. As an
exception, please note that no interviews with the top three riders will be allowed in the team areas between the end of racing and the respective
award ceremony. Therefore, the first interviews to be conducted with the top
three riders will take place
A) At the exit from the track for the media having booked a dedicated position
directly after the race at the convenience of the athlete.
B) in the mixed zone for the rights holders without dedicated position after the
podium.
Without any additional access agreed with the concerned rights holders, non-
rights holders have limited access to the NRH’s interview area in the press
conference room (as described above).

7. VENUE SAFETY INFORMATION Venue Evacuation
In the event that an evacuation of the building is required, please follow the instructions of the
security and stewarding personnel. Please exit the building calmly and quickly to the closest meeting
point. It is very important you do not attempt to remove equipment during an evacuation as this could
obstruct and reduce the free flow of people exiting the building.
Lost Property
Any lost property should be handed in to the nearest steward, media staff member or to the
Omnisport Apeldoorn reception on the ground floor where they will keep a record of any property
handed in.
Lost Children
Any lost children found, should be identified to the nearest steward. The steward will follow the event
procedure and arrange for a PA announcement to be made.
A missing child should also be reported to the nearest steward who will alert the venue
control centre
