Vocabulary has always been one of the significant issues related both with teachers and learners of foreign language.
The study aimed to explore if imagery strategy was helpful for lower-intermediate students’ English vocabulary leaning in comparison to direct translation.

It implied that the two groups of the study did not significant in the pre-test in terms of vocabulary proficiency.
