    Presidents Report from Natalie Jupe

    Hi All,

    What a big week!!!

Firstly, I would like to thank Tim for arranging our visit last week to the Ambulance Station. We were shown around by

the Station Officer Kristy Blyton who was very interesting. Not only did we learn about the area that they cover butwhat exactly is inside an ambulance. They do a fantastic job in looking after the community.

This past weekend I attended the Australian Rotary Success Conference at the Helenic Club.It kicked off with aFriendship Dinner at a Turkish restaurant in Manuka hosted by the Rotary Club of Goulburn. There were about 25Rotarians there coming from Victoria, NSW and Queensland. The conference was all day Saturday and half daySunday, which included a dinner on the Saturday night. There were great sessions held on Social Media, Visioning,Membership, Diversity and Training. I hope we will be able to implement some of the ideas that were discussed inorder to make our club stronger and more vibrant.

I encourage those of you who did not make it to this conference, to seriously think about going to our districts annualconference which is being held down the coast in October (more details below). Its a great excuse for a weekendaway, as well as catching up with old and new friends.

This week our guest speaker is Bradley Carron-Arthur who has recently completed a charity run to raise funds forAFFIRM (mental health research). You can read more about it on his website http://bradrunsnorth.com or donateonline at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/bradrunsnorth

I am also pleased to announce that our club will be selling Gnomes at Floriade the weekend of September 22 and 23,so please be sure to keep this weekend free as we will be needing all hands on deck!!!

For the Facebook savvy Rotarians out there be sure to check out The Rotarians on Social Networks Fellowship at

    Have a great week,

    Natalie
