We are proud to invite you to the 9th Congress of Operating Room Nursing, Anesthetic Recovery and Material and Storage Sterilization that will take place at the “Palácio das Convenções do Anhembi” in Sao Paulo (SP), Brazil, from July 17 to 21, 2009.

With this event, we wish to encourage the commitment of the Surgery Room Nursing chapter to promote technical and scientific improvement to its associates. This congress will be much more than just a mere meeting of specialists because it shall also strengthen friendships and favor the exchange of knowledge and experiences among participants.

The Scientific Commission, presided by Marcia Cristina de Oliveira Pereira and Renata Barco de Oliveira, members of the SOBECC’s Board, has been working very hard to provide excellence in all activities that Congress’ participants shall engage themselves in. We are delighted to have you at the ninth edition of this Congress to celebrate the SOBECC’s 18th anniversary together and certainly consolidate all the work a group of nurses started back in 1991 when they founded the SOCIETY.

We wish to thank all that have taken part in the various commissions and in the Board as well as all those that have given us support one way or another as well as believed in the work we do along the years.

this is new: A Contemporary Surgical Center

This year, the SOBECC will put together a fictitious Operating Room and Anesthetic Recovery Center where participants will be able to experience the Technical Regulations to plan, program, elaborate and evaluate physical projects of Health Assistance establishments. Activities will include guidelines on The Necessity Program, Preliminary Study as well as Basic Building Projects – architecture and structures. Topics like – The Importance of Preventive Maintenance, Learning to Evaluate Equipment Depreciation, Value Decrease from Usage Wear, Action of Nature or Normal Obsolescence, Validity and Depreciation Rate of Assets – will be also covered.

the SOBeCC Will Make your Arrival at the “Palácio das Convenções do Anhembi” easier

Those who have chosen to stay at one of the “Master Turismo” partner hotels, will be transported to and from the “Palácio das Convenções do Anhembi” by special buses. Likewise, participants who live in Sao Paulo will be able to count on special vans that will be transporting people both ways between the “Tietê” Subway station and the

“Anhembi” during the event.

A Masquerade Socializing dinner

Participants of the SOBECC’s 9th Congress have a date at the “Viveiros” Hall in “Palácio da Convenções do Anhembi” at 9:00 pm on July 20. Invitations will be sold at the SOBECC’s stand.

Each Congress person is entitled to bring only companion 18 years-of-age or older. Do not forget to bring a mask on that night.
