ABOUT US
ABS ENVIRO TECH INDIA PVT LTD an ISO 9001:2008 certified company is
one of the leading and renowned company in the field of Water and Waste water
Treatment technology and have specialized in the field of Membrane treatment for re-
cycling of used water and sewage treatment plants.
For more than six long years, and as a leading service provider in the field of water

REVERSE OSMOSIS TECHNOLOGY
Utilization of the reversal of the natural ‘Osmosis’ phenomenon forms the basis of
Reverse Osmosis, wherein force is applied to reverse the direction of flow of the water
through the semi – permeable membrane. This reversed flow produces pure water
from brackish as well as seawater feeds.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE – RO
When a semi permeable membrane separates two aqueous solutions of different
concentrations, water permeates naturally from the dilute solution to the concentrated
solution. This process is called “Osmosis”.
Utilization of the reversal of the natural Osmosis phenomenon forms the basis of
“Reverse Osmosis”, wherein force is applied to reverse the direction of flow of water
through the semi-permeable membrane. This reversed flow produces pure water from
brackish water as well as seawater feeds.
Reverse Osmosis Membranes: Four basic types of RO module designs are in
commercial use:
Tubular
Plate and Frame
Spiral Wound Element
Hollow Fiber Modules
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT-MBBR
Domestic wastewater is difficult to treat using conventional Activated Sludge Process,
without having very large tanks and long hydraulic retention time to degrade the
waste. Although Activated Sludge Process has been a proven alternative, in the
present day scenario it is not possible to install the same due to constraint in space.
(ASP will need almost 10 times higher space than what is currently available). With
renewed focus on reduction of E-Coli in the wastewater, MBBR based sewage
treatment plants with very nominal chlorination is the most successful and cost
effective technology. It reduces the E-coli count from an inlet level of 106 – 107 MPN
to less than 103 MPN at the outlet.
Advanced Technology of Fixed Film biological processes having large surface area
for biomass to grow have been used in the past to reduce both the reactor volumes as
well as retention times. Further developments in this field have led to development of
fluid bed technology in which the fixed film media are made of small plastic materials
which are freely moving and non-clogging type.
The basic idea behind the Moving Bed Reactor development is to have a continuous
operating non-clogging bio film reactor which requires (1) No back-washing, (2) Has
low head loss and (3) High specific bio film surface area. This was achieved by
having the biomass to grow on small carrier elements that move along with the water
in the reactor. The movement within the reactor is generated by aeration in the
aerobic reactor. These bio-film carriers are made of special grade plastic having
density close to that of water.
Apart from making the plant compact, the fluid bed reactor employing fixed film
principle of the attached growth process makes the plant more user- friendly because
it does not require sludge recycle i.e. synonymous with conventional ASP. The
absence of sludge recycle relieves the operator from the enormous task of
measurement and monitoring MLSS levels in the tank and adjusting recycle ratios
continuously, due to fluctuating inlet COD loads.
A number of treatment facilities where Moving Bed Reactor technology is used
include small Sewage Treatment Plants, City Sewage Treatment Plants for population
in Lakhs, industrial sewage treatment plant for food waste, paper waste and chemical
waste etc.
One more salient feature of this technology is that it produces much smaller quantity
of sludge and what is more, this sludge requires no further treatment such as
digestion, due to the fact that it produces digested sludge which does not smell like
that in a conventional plant.
WATER SOFTENER
The process by which the minerals like calcium and magnesium in the raw water
exchange to equal amount of sodium by ion Exchange process is known as softener
process. The removal of these minerals are very important as otherwise these
minerals form deposits in pipelines and equipments which lead to reduced waterflow
and heat transfer efficiency over a period of time which ultimately affects the life of the
equipment.
The Water Softening Plants find application in Cooling Tower make up,Ro input
treatment,Low pressure boilers, Domestic applications and other process industries
etc.
Ca, mg, H20 +R.Na R.Ca, R.Mg + H20.Na
DEMINERALISATION PLANT
The process by which the minerals present in the raw water are removed by Ion
Exchange process is known as Demineralisation. The removal of these minerals are
very important as otherwise these minerals form deposits in pipelines and equipments
which lead to reduced waterflow and heat transfer efficiency over a period of time
which ultimately affects the life of the equipment.
The Demineralisation Plants find application in high pressure boilers, power
generations plants, Hi-tech electronic industries, pharmaceutical and other process
industries etc.
Basically the removal of minerals are carried out in the Cation exchanger and Anion
exchanger of the DM plant. The fill media in these exchangers are Cation and Anion
resins respectively. Different types of Demineralisation plants are available
depending on the quality of water required by the end-user.
