NEW PART C REGULATIONS
Until September 2011, the IDEA 2004 federal statute had regulations for Part B
Part C regulations were from IDEA 1997; released in 1999
New Part C regulations released September 28, 2011
Became effective October 28, 2011; implementation by July 1, 2012
States must revise their policies and procedures to align with the new Regs
Many states currently are undergoing a period of public comment on their revised P & P
