Just because you can walk toyour box and grab the paper, that doesn't mean your mail andpaper delivery people can reach it from their vehicle.)

2. A car can drive up to and away from my mailbox. Check outthe pictures…a car cannot drive up to a box with 2 feet of clearedspace. Test if out yourself! Drive up to your mailbox, then continuedown the road.

3. If your paper box and mailbox is by your house, is the sidewalkand walkway cleared of snow AND SAFE? If not, your deliveryperson may have no other option but to throw it as close aspossible.

was a machine operator for GM at FisherBody. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, playingmusic, collecting, golf, and woodworking. Hewas a man of many talents. On January 31,1958 in Otsego he married Sandra Strong whosurvives. Also surviving are his children, Dan(Marcia) Pomeroy and Chris Boyett both of Ot-sego; 4 grandchildren, Morgan (Chris) Teich ofMattawan, Mackenzie Pomeroy of Rockford,Matthew (Jessica) Boyett and Jenifer Boyettboth of Otsego; 1 great-grandson, ElliotBoyett; his siblings, Garold Pomeroy of Kala-mazoo, Roy (Sandy) Pomeroy of Richland andMary (Bill) Wood of Oshtemo; sisters-in-law,Joyce Pomeroy and Barbara Pomeroy; severalnieces and nephews. Shirley loved spending timeat Lake Michigan and Pine Lake, reading,bowling, playing cards, watching the DetroitLions, working in her yard and most of allspending time with her grandchildren. Sheloved her husband and her family very much.Surviving are a son and a daughter, RamonShook and Renee (Kevin) Vaughn, both ofPlainwell; four grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica)Shook, Mark (Kelly McDaniel) Shook, JamesVaughn and Shelby Vaughn; three great-grandchildren, Kobe, Ava and Ella Shook andseveral nieces and nephews. She was pre-ceded in death by her husband; siblings, Gerryand Bill Waldon, Mary Lou Woody, JaneSparks-Munson and Lavina Mann. Accordingto her wishes cremation has taken place. Ilene Fern Reichelt went home to be with herLord and Savior on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.She was preceded in death by her grand-daughter Audra. She was a lifelong member ofKent City Baptist Church. Ilene graduated fromSand Lake High School in 1952 and thenbegan working as an operator for the tele-phone company. On Valentine's Day in 1959she married the love of her life, Gordon andthey had two beautiful daughters. Ilene will belovingly remembered by her husband of 55years, Gordon; daughters, Lori (Tim) Beason,Linda (Jim) Gleason; grandchildren, SarahBeason, Daniel Beason, Hannah Wheeler andRebekah Wheeler; several nieces andnephews. Funeral services will be held at theHessel - Cheslek Funeral Home, Sparta,Michigan on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2pmwith Rev. Timothy Beason officiating. In his leisure timePaul enjoyed fishing and hunting, spendingtime in the U.P with family and friends at thecabin, snowmobiling, camping, gardening,stock car racing, traveling, playing boardgames and the Wii with grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren, using his computer andenjoying his pets. On August 1, 1955 in Kala-mazoo he married Shirley Morts, who survives.Also surviving are his children, Dorian (RuthBeldon) Doxey, Debbie (John) Vist and Michael(Dion Adams) Doxey; six grandchildren, Lisa(Steve) Shelton, Ryan (Kari) Vist, Pete Doxey,Dillon (fiancee Brittany) Doxey, Jake (fianceeTayler) Doxey and Jonathan Beldon; fourgreat-grandchildren, Kaylee and Zack Vist,Sydney and Taylor Shelton; a brother, Jim(Ruth) Doxey; sister, Marian Doxey; sisters-in-law, Joan Doxey and Norma Cox; brother-in-law, Phil Groth; daughters-in-law, Judy Doxeyand Amy Kurzmann; several nieces andnephews. After her retirement she moved to theU.P. where she had been a member of the Di-vine Infant of Prague Church in Gulliver. Jeanhad also been the president of the ManistiqueWoman’s Club and a member of the GulliverHistorical Society. She was an accomplishedhand quilter. Jean loved to bowl, fish, golf andsew. Surviving are her children, Alan Scott ofBaltimore, Nancy (James) Belcher of Plainwell,Teresa (Jerry) Lawrence of Kalamazoo, Chris-tine Kling of Otsego, John Scott of Flagstaff,Arizona and Joyce Bruce of Plainwell; 10grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sis-ter, Sally Doster of Otsego; her very specialbest friend, Betty Stewart; several nieces andnephews. She was preceded in death by herhusband; parents; daughter-in-law, LynetteScott; siblings, Ronald and Martin Bartholomy,Phyllis Scott and Mary Doorlag; and by hergreat-grandson, Tyler Burd.
