    L*kily Callie's s*rea had %een heard and their plight seen #ro inside thediner. Chet, Bi-, and se)eral others dashed ot to help.

    "Beat it, yo!" Bi- %ellowed, and the others oined in the ot*ry, yelling andwa)ing their ars.

    The glowing wol#4*reatre stopped short with a deep4throated growl,e)idently startled %y the noisy ot%rst #ro the yong people. Then ittrned and ran %a*k into the woods.

    Frank opened the door and slipped %ehind the wheel. He 5i*ked a swit*h on

    the spe*ially li*ensed radio trans*ei)er onted nder their instrentpanel.

    'H41 here," he spoke into the hand ike. "Coe in, please."

    They were et in the hallway %y their other and ;nt Gertrde, %oth innight ro%es, their ant with her hair pinned p in *rlers.

    "One o# yo *all the poli*e, please!" Frank sggested as he and &oe hrrieddownstairs.
