CEMENTOL ® B NOVI Hardening accelerating admixture, SIST EN 934-2: T7 with antifreeze affect Concreting at low temperatures. FIELD OF APPLICATION Cementol B NOVI is a chemical admixture for concrete, used for concreting at low temperatures. Its action combines the effects of a hardening accelerating admixture and antifreeze, so as to accelerate the attaining of the necessary strength of 5 MPa before concrete is exposed to freezing. ACCORDANCE WITH THE SIST EN 934-2 STANDARD Property Declared values with acceptable deviation Appearance Light brown liquid Relative density, 20°C (1,13 ± 0,03) kg/dm 3 Conventional dry material content (20,5 ± 1,0) % pH 7,5 ± 1,5 Water soluble chloride content (Cl - ) Chloride free Alkali content (Na 2 O equivalent) < 8 % ACTION Cementol B NOVI lowers the freezing point of water and simultaneously accelerates the hydration reaction of cement minerals. It improves the workability of fresh concrete or enables a reduction of mixing water for ca. 5% for equal workability. It can be used for concreting at lower temperatures if precautions for winter concreting are taken into account. DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE • Dosage: 1 - 2% of the cement weight (1 to 2 kg per 100 kg of cement), depending on the desired effects and working conditions. Cementol B NOVI must be diluted with mixing water and then added to dry concrete mixture in order to spread equally throughout the mixture. Warning • Winter concreting demands special care and all precautions for winter concreting should be taken into account! • The minimum temperature of the concrete mixture has to be + 5°C. Freshly concreted surfaces in the open air have to be protected with appropriate isolating materials. • The effect of the admixture can be heightened by using cement with higher hydration heat, by increasing the cement content and lowering the water-cement ratio. • A lower water-cement ratio is achieved by adding plasticizers Cementol Delta Ekstra/ Delta Ekstra W, superplasticizers Cementol Zeta-conc./ P-conc./ T-conc., hiperplasticizers Cementol Hiperplast 170/ 179/ 463/ 481/ 974 or Cementol Zeta Super S/ PLUS to the concrete mixture • The stated effects of Cementol B NOVI can only be achieved by following the instructions given above.

Concreting at low temperatures.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

Cementol B NOVI is a chemical admixture for concrete, used for concreting at lowtemperatures. Its action combines the effects of a hardening accelerating admixture andantifreeze, so as to accelerate the attaining of the necessary strength of 5 MPa beforeconcrete is exposed to freezing.

ACTION

Cementol B NOVI lowers the freezing point of water and simultaneously accelerates thehydration reaction of cement minerals. It improves the workability of fresh concrete orenables a reduction of mixing water for ca. 5% for equal workability. It can be used forconcreting at lower temperatures if precautions for winter concreting are taken intoaccount.

DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Dosage: 1 - 2% of the cement weight (1 to 2 kg per 100 kg of cement), depending on thedesired effects and working conditions.

• Cementol B NOVI must be diluted with mixing water and then added to dry concretemixture in order to spread equally throughout the mixture.

Warning• Winter concreting demands special care and all precautions for winter concreting shouldbe taken into account!

• The minimum temperature of the concrete mixture has to be + 5°C. Freshly concretedsurfaces in the open air have to be protected with appropriate isolating materials.

• The effect of the admixture can be heightened by using cement with higher hydration heat,by increasing the cement content and lowering the water-cement ratio.

• A lower water-cement ratio is achieved by adding plasticizers Cementol Delta Ekstra/Delta Ekstra W, superplasticizers Cementol Zeta-conc./ P-conc./ T-conc., hiperplasticizersCementol Hiperplast 170/ 179/ 463/ 481/ 974 or Cementol Zeta Super S/ PLUS to theconcrete mixture

• The stated effects of Cementol B NOVI can only be achieved by following the instructionsgiven above.
