Dear Members,

It is with great pleasure we present this issue of Info des Ramées. For already more than five years now wehave been using this communication tool as a means to keep you informed about what your caisse is doing,allowing you to better know its team, products and services. This desire to keep close ties with our members reflects the cooperative distinction.

From October 14 to 20, during Cooperation Week 2012, we had the opportunity to highlight what makes usdifferent as a cooperative financial institution. In addition to the many activities that were organized, weproduced a Web report on the cooperative business model and its importance in the socioeconomic development of our community. We invite you to check it out at <www.webtvdesiles.com>.

In the same vein, at the beginning of October, the managers of your caisse participated in the InternationalSummit of Cooperatives that was held in Quebec City. This large forum, which was organized for the occasion of the International Year of Cooperatives, allowed cooperatives and mutual societies to discusstheir important business issues and possible solutions that would favour their development. We had theopportunity to listen to world-renown speakers and also to take part in discussions on various themes related to cooperation. We remain convinced that from the workshops we attended, we drew on our knowledge which revived our commitment to promote the cooperative formula and its values in our community.

At the Caisse populaire des Ramées and with Desjardins, we believe in the incredible power of cooperativesto contribute to building a better world together.

DesjarDins FunDs contest

About one year ago, Ms Émélie Vigneau, administrative assistant at the Caisse des Ramées,

announced her intention to retire at the end of the year 2012. We would like to take the

opportunity in this newsletter to honour our colleague as she will be starting this new

chapter in her life in December, after 40 years of service to our caisse.

Ms Vigneau’s adventure with the Desjardins Movement began March 1, 1972 when she was

hired as a member service agent at the Caisse populaire de Lavernière. Over the years, after

having also worked as a teller, she was given secretarial tasks to eventually obtain a full-time

administrative assistant’s position,

A true team player, Ms Vigneau, made her mark as part of the team by her loyalty, kindness

and rigour. Despite still being passionate about her work after four decades, she has chosen

to turn another page of her professional life to be able to spend more time with her family.

On behalf of the managers and employees, we would like to thank you, Ms Vigneau, for all these years of service and for

your devotion towards the Caisse populaire des Ramées. We wish you a wonderful retirement in great health and great

moments with your family.

a Well-DeserveD retireMent

Through its Community Development Fund, donations and sponsorships, la Caisse populaire des Ramées contributesto the realisation of many projects stemming from the community. Here are some examples supported by your caisseover the last months, in collaboration with the two other caisses populaires Desjardins des Îles.

School perseverance groupFor the caisses populaires Desjardins des Îles, education is the motor of sustainable development. This is why the caissesmultiply the initiatives to favour school perseverance for students. For example, the caisses recently set up a partnershipover three years with the school perseverance group. They will give $15,000 per year to this organisation to be used for various activities that favour success at school for the young people which would encourage them to continue their studies.

Association of handicapped people of the IslandsThe Association of handicapped people of the Islands had to do some renovations in order to secure its installations (balcony and ramp) and to make the space more accessible for the people who frequent its building. The caisses des Îlesare pleased to have supported the Association in their work with $12,000 in financial aid.

Cooperative for the use of agricultural materialIn October 2011, a first cooperative for the use of agricultural material (CUMA) was founded in the archipelago. This formula allows agricultural business members of the cooperative to share in the use and fees in the acquisition of equipment. At Desjardins, we are convinced that cooperatives have something very important to bring to our collectiveefforts in economic development. This is why the caisses populaires des Îles did not hesitate to grant $10,000 in financialaid to CUMA Iles de la Madeleine for the starting up of its activities.

Entraide communautaire des ÎlesFor several years now the caisses have supported the mission behind Entraide communautaire des Îles which is to adviseand support people who have needs related to the helping out with groceries and other utilities. To allow the organisationto continue helping those in need in the archipelago, the caisses des Îles recently granted $7,500 in aid.

How it works?

Overview- The My budget tool allows you to get a comprehensive view of your regular transactions with just a few clicks.- The Overview tab gives you a snapshot of all the information in My budget.

Transactions- Get a complete picture of all your regular transactions in your transaction and VISA Desjardins accounts. - The Transactions tab allows you to set up the automatic categorization feature.

Budget- The Budget tab allows you to set spending limits.- Check your average monthly expenses by category and set realistic budget goals.- You can also view graphs that track your expenses.

Settings- Adapt My budget to your needs.- The Settings tab allows you to select the accounts you wish to see displayed in your budget.- You can modify the categories and manage the categorization rules you created at any time.

Give it a try and you will see for yourself that with My budget budget management can be easy…and even fun!

In our last newsletter we had announced that certain work would be done in the parking lot of the head office of Caisse

populaire des Ramées. With regard to the municipal regulations concerning the planned changes and the comments

received, it was decided to study the project further and put off the work until a later date.
